Mark got a lobster from the sea for lunch. He was a fantastic guide for snorkeling (especially amateurs). Also...he makes a FANTASTIC griller lobster & chicken for lunch...and, dessert grilled bananas on Oreos! Also had Mark take us to Ixcacao chocolate farm (a must-do tour). Marl is VERY passionate about Belize

We (2 couples) enjoyed our Mayan Chocolate Tour with Mark. It was fabulous! He did a great joy explaining everything. Local knowledge is important.. Chocolate factory was very "tasty" & interesting. Fun & informative to see how they make chocolate. I am rationing my chocolate! Lunch was really awesome, also. Mayan ruin was interesting, amazing to get a feel for life back then. We would recommend to anyone traveling to Placencia.

My husband and parents went on the full day smothering excursion. We had an amazing time. The guides
are both native Belizians with great knowledge of the sea and history of the region. They fish in the morning and prepare what they catch for lunch. After lunch we were treated to a guided snorkeling tour. Mark was careful to point out a variety of sea life...

Were in Belize for our honeymoon, and had decided to wing it for activities when got there. Found Cayequest on TripAdvisor, and decided to give them a try. Mark picked us up, and off we went for a long drive. We peppered Mark with Belize questions on the way out, and he obliged. Juan and Abilene have quite an amazing operation. Their part of the tour includes an intro to traditional chocolate making, a tour of how they presently make it, a tasting and lunch from mostly their garden. They were both very friendly. We stopped at the ruins on the way back, and glad Mark was along to give us some history. If you are looking for a more personalized experience, I recommend getting in touch with Mark and Lyra.
