Wonderful resort.....we eloped with my parents (unbeknownst to them) and had a small ceremony on the beach and it was absolutely perfecto !

The entire staff is wonderful, and the food exquisite. You couldn't ask for a more accommodating and relaxing vacation.

We will definitely return.

Room Tip: Bring some bug spray..... If there is no breeze the bugs might hang around you on your deck.

We stayed at RG very specifically to go Whale Shark diving. We had spectacular success and for our 2 days, 4 dives, we saw Whale sharks on 3 of our dives. We dove 4 days after the full moon. The front desk crew were delightful and I always enjoyed our interactions. In our 4 nights we had to change rooms 3 times and all the rooms were nice. The moves were taken care of with professionalism although we didn't really understand why we had to move. We were upgraded to a villa for the last two nights. There was one very vivacious young lady in charge of external bookings that gave us the best recommendation for a restaurant in Placencia, Omars, that was fantastic. That young lady had the brightest smile and best recommendations.

There are 3 restaurants on site. We enjoyed the Italian one the most (this is also where they served breakfast.) The Mexican restaurant had good food, but the wait for the food was terrible. Every morning there is a large crew cleaning up the beach of all the seaweed and trash that accumulated from the night before. I applaud the hotel for their diligence. The WIFI is pretty good in the rooms.

Room Tip: We liked all of our rooms. The one on the 2nd floor had a nice view. The villa was very spacious a...

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The staff was so friendly and accommodating, our rooms and the entire resort were at all times very clean. everywhere we were felt nice and secluded with all the lush plants and trees, we also really enjoyed the complimentary bicycles, paddle boats, and sail boats. Food was very good at all 3 restaurants on site. At night time it was fun going into the strip of shops and restaurants, the Tipsy Tuna was a fun place to dance on the beach. We will definitely go back to visit. For anyone looking for a relaxing environment, this is it. Tours are also available at the front desk, I recommend seeing the myan ruin, Xunantunich, it was beautiful at the top. At the end of our days we enjoyed coming back to resort and relaxing, we made good friends with the friendly staff.

Room Tip: the one bedroom villa was very nice, felt like a small house. Beautiful large porch with hammock and...

I enjoyed my recent stay. The staff were lovely and helpful, the grounds lush, tropical and well kept, and the sea is right there - though the water is shallow with lots of sea grass. I had trouble sleeping in the cottage I was first assigned to because of the wifi, and they went out of their way to accommodate me in a new property without wifi. The food was tasty though I wish there were more spicy and local options on the menu.

Our experience at Robert's Grove started badly and never really delivered the service we expected from a beach resort. The front desk staff, who kept us waiting for over an hour before we could check into our room, showed little to no concern for us or anything around them. Our toilet was leaking water out the back. There was a roach in the bathroom. There was no lock available for the room safe until the second day of our stay. Although we had a predetermined itinerary, Robert's Grove did not have us registered for any of our planned activities. We had to let them know what we were planning on doing each day. They seemed thoroughly inept. Our first activity, the manatee viewing cruise, was cancelled because no manatees had been sighted earlier in the day. That disappointed my wife, but that happens when dealing with nature and animals. We were able to take part in all the other activities planned and had a generally good time. Upon checkout, we were surprised by a number of charges on the resort bill. We were charged for the manatee cruise that was cancelled. We were also charged a land use fee and box lunch fee for the same manatee cruise. The one we never went on. We were charged admission, box lunch, and the full activity fee for the Jaguar Preserve trip that we did go on and we were charged maritime preserve entrance fees and box lunch fees for the whale shark snorkel and reef snorkel trips that we went on. Our first problem with this was that we never went on the manatee viewing cruise. The front desk agreed and credited those fees against our incidental expenses. Additionally, we were under the impression that we had paid for all of these activities prior to our arrival as part of our vacation package. Robert's Grove looked into this and determined that they had indeed already been paid by our travel company for the activity costs ( Jaguar preserve and snorkel trips ), but told us we were still responsible for the park entrance fees and box lunches. These were not included in the activities and they have no record that they were ever paid. We would have to take that up with our travel agency planner. Once home, our travel planner informed us that Robert's Grove was paid for the activities and the activities included all entrance fees and lunches while out participating in the activities. We were responsible only for our dinners. We were credited for all unwarranted charges eventually, but the whole experience was not enjoyable.

Robert's Grove is okay if you go there to scuba, snorkel, or go on a land tour such as the jaguar preserve. The guided activities can be very enjoyable. Just try to spend your time away from the resort and scrutinize your bill before you leave. They are a confused bunch.

Room Tip: Make sure you know what's included in your vacation package before you go and scrutinize you bil...

Robert’s Grove apologizes for any inconveniences you encountered during your stay with us. Being in a tropical climate we do expect the occasional insect to intrude onto our grounds and when notified take care of them on the spot. Occasionally changes in staff and training can hamper the daily events of our resort and we appreciate your patience when encountering mistakes or errors, every day is a learning experience and we use these mishaps to learn and serve our guests even better tomorrow. Thank you for spending your vacation with us and we hope to see you again in the future

Room, grounds, amenities etc all fair for the price, but the personality- plus young ladies at the front reception area, so professional and sweet too!
Floret and Nikita are a Belizean/ Roberts Grove public relations power team! Super easy, but in charge.
Gym nice too...I have been to fancier hotels with beat "gyms". Don't go on a dive vavation necessarily to hit the gym, but this was a bonus. Very nice.

See ya next time RG,
Joni and Jeff

Robert's Grove has some big plusses: a super friendly staff, a beautiful setting, gorgeous room, good food. But it also has a couple of minuses: a trash-strewn, shallow beach and a shabby looking entry. Be sure to say hi to Jenny Lee at the front desk - a real DOLL!
