The best smoothie you'll find in Placencia! The service was good and the Jamaican Jack was also tasty! Definitely go! They are closed on Tuesdays (so we learned yesterday).

My husband and I really enjoyed The Shak. Their food is delicious and the patio looks out over the Marina - it's a really great spot! The husband and wife owners really go out of their way to make sure that you are completely satisfied. The fruit shakes we had were great and tasted super fresh.

The Shak has a fairly extensive menu that has something for everyone. Lots of vegetarian and healthy options. We also went for breakfast and they offered a mix of traditional and Western fair.

We would definitely recommend trying this place out!

For fresh, delicious food and smoothies, you can not beat The Shak! Right near the water, at the end of the sidewalk, they are worth the walk. Service is not always the best and it can take some time... but it's the Caribbean... and it is worth it! Great menu selection and truly good food! Not to be missed!

Being an Ex Pat from California and living in Placencia Village the past 12 years I have been a regular at the Shak the past five years and would recommend their restaurant to anyone coming to Belize. If you are not satisfied with your meal come and find da Juan mon in our Village and I will pay for your meal.

Located right on the beach at the end of the peninsula, my wife and I had to try out the Shak after reading great reviews about it before leaving home. It lives up to the reviews! We were in Placencia for 9 days and stopped in for smoothies and pineapple juice several times. Laid back like the rest of Placencia Village, food, drinks and service can't be beat. I became a big fan of their seaweed smoothie! Yeah, it sounds terrible, but surprise, surprise, it tastes like an eggnog smoothie. Delicious! The seaweed just adds nutrition and thickens it up a bit. Gotta try this place out when you are out and about!
