Description: The Pickled Parrot is a thatched roof restaurant and bar mere footsteps from the crashing surf of the Carribean. We have delicious blender drinks, rum concoctions and ice cold Belikin Beer. Our food is home cooked style comfort food, made from fresh organic ingredients. We specialize in hand-cut french fries, burgers, chicken cheesesteaks, and Philly cheesesteaks. Our popular everyday option is a fresh large salad topped with shrimp, chicken breast or ribeye steak. Special diets are easily accomadated. Portions are ample and prices are low. Check out the daily $10 specials on the Pickled Parrot Bar & Grill Facebook !

This little bar could easily become our bar "where everybody knows your name" when we would move to Placencia. The owner is a very nice guy. Greeting and welcoming new guests, always time for a chat. If you are tired of local food and homesick for American, eat here. Otherwise go for cocktails and icecold beers like we did.
Pity the NewYearsEve beachparty couldn't go thru ....sure that would have been a blast.
Maybe Dec 2013 ???

I only had a beer here. Sat at a table for a bit then went up to the bar and ordered. The owner Eugene came over shortly afterwards and welcomed us to his bar. Very nice touch.

Limited food menu but a nice place.

We loved this place! The owner Eugene and his wife are great people doing a great job! They make you feel at home and this is the place you come if you are missing American type cooking. The philly cheese steak was my ultimate favorite that goes well with home cut fries! The young man who works for them is a joy to be around and works hard to keep us from getting too thirsty. The prices are terrific as well. I will miss these three wonderful people when I leave here.

We stopped in to the Pickled Parrot while waiting for friends to finish a massage in the Village. This was our first visit since the restaurant changed ownership in the summer. We only stayed for a few Belikins, but we definitely want to return for a meal on our next visit to Belize. While sitting at the bar we met the owner, Eugene, and his wife. Aside from being Philadelphia Eagles fans, we found them to be great and with them luck!

Owners Eugene and Lynne (sp?) run a very friendly bar off the main road, kind of down a side path from Wallens grocery. The kitchen hours were a little spotty when I was there, but are probably more regular during high season. The food served is pretty good, definitely North American cuisine though, so please don't go there expecting caribbean cooking or Belizean cooking. The daily special can be something like meatloaf or fried snapper or pasta alfredo, and other popular menu items are the Philly cheesesteak and burgers. Eugene is a big Eagles fan and sets up a TV for football games (college games as well). Great spot for kicking back and having a few cold ones. Very friendly crowd, good mif of locals, ex-pats, and tourists.
