We LOVED staying at Casa Placencia. What an oasis her place is. We arrived in Placencia for the 2nd half of our Belize trip and was amazed at how beautiful and tranquil Casa Placencia was. Jacki is truly a wealth of information about Belize, not to mention a very friendly and inviting person. She arranged for us to have the Indonesian feast at the Turtle Inn, which was amazing and not something we would have known to do. She also arranged a trip for us to go on a trip to see howler monkeys in the jungle and manatees out at see, both of which we actually saw in the wild. It was a great day trip. The house itself was clean, comfortable, fun and spacious. I definitely recommend staying at Casa Placencia! It's an easy walking distance both to town and the beaches, and there is a pool! We all had a great time. Thanks Jacki!

My wife and I stayed here for one night while enroute to another destination. The room was very clean and comfortable, the hostess was very helpful and friendly, the property felt very safe and was well kept.

My wife and I stayed here for the month of March. We had the one bedroom apartment on the top floor. When we first arrived, we were welcomed by our host and owner Jackie, with freshly baked goodies that hit the spot after a long day of traveling. It didn't take long to realize we were in for a good month.....the apartment was very well equipped with everything you would want. A good size kitchen and living area, with a new tv and interesting unique furniture. The bedroom was of good size with a very efficient and quite AC. A small bathroom off the bedroom with a great shower which was truly appreciated each day after a hot day in the village.....which was only a 10 min. Walk into town, or an even shorter bike ride. The bikes were an added bonus and we used them every day. One thing that didn't go unnoticed was how clean the apartment was....every little detail was cleaned once, then once more by Kennedy....Jackie's right hand man !! If you wanted a coconut opened, or a fresh pool towel, or air in the bike tires, or just about anything.....Kennedy was the man....with Jackie's approval of course !
Now a bit about Jackie.....I could go on and on.....she has been in Belize for over 30 years, and is extremely knowledgable about everything.....she will recommend eating places, relaxing places on the beach, places to enjoy entertainment, and places to stay away from. "Most" times she is right on....
All in all, we really enjoyed our month at Jackie's place. If there was any downside, it would be the traffic right out in front of our beautiful balcony.....but it was also a great "people watching" place to be....always with a tropical breeze as we relax with another one of Jackie's homemade treats.
Thanks Jackie and Kennedy ....... You made our vacation "one to remember".

I had a group of about 6 of us staying at Casa Placencia, and it was perfection for us! I shared the 2 bedroom apt with another friend and the rest of my friends had either a studio apt or a garden room. In the 2 bedroom apt there is a kitchen and cooking supplies, so we would cook breakfast every morning. There is also a kitchen in the studio apt. All our friends would come over every morning and hang out in our beautiful big kitchen and have breakfast together. Jacki is amazing and so helpful with recommending where to go and what activities to do. She really cared about us, our happiness and well being. We had a wonderful, clean and beautiful place to stay with the addition of making a new friend. Casa Placencia centrally located and we rented a golf cart from Captain Jak's and literally went everywhere in Placencia! The AC was very strong which was a plus, also! We had an incredible time and all of us want to come back again soon!

Room Tip: The 2 bedroom and studio apartments have kitchens. The garden rooms do not, but do have coffee makers and refrigerators in them.

I'm sorry that I'm not overwhelmed with the property but there were pluses and minuses. The hostess was extremely accommodating giving us an upgrade to the one bedroom apartment from the downstairs rooms in back. The apartment was roomy, good wifi, good TV, good kitchen and nice furnishings but we were asked to limit the AC because of electricity costs and as result, the main living area was hotter than I could stand. Ceiling fans just didn't cut it when it felt like +43C outside. During the day it heated up even more with the sun and it was tough. We eventually figured out how to set the AC so we could have a fairly quiet, cool sleep but then the traffic woke us at first light with everyone streaming into the village. Our room was right on the road. All in all though, I shouldn't sound like I was unhappy with the place. Good value, good location away from the bars but close enough to walk, great service and close enough to the beach. It's not their fault the AC was too expensive but coming from Canada, when it says AC, there should be AC.

Room Tip: Take the upstairs apartment. I suspect the rooms on the lower floor are darker, smaller and maybe a little claustrophobic.
