They have a wonderful jalapeno and pineapple vodka cocktail if you like heat. The ceviche and conch fritters are tasty, as are the tacos. We found ourselves stopping in three times for drinks/food in the week we were in Placencia.

The restaurant was so special we went twice in a 9 day vacation. Everything was excellent - the food, the service, the ambiance. Fresh ingredients only - be sure to try the Peruvian cerviche!

Rumfish has a wonderful, friendly staff and fantastic owners who are very passionate about bringing the best cuisine to Placencia. My fiance and I enjoy eating at Rumfish---almost on a weekly basis because it is SO delicious!! The bar is amazing with the fruit infused alcohol--amazing wine list and draft beer. The location is really cool, unique and you will get a great picture of what Placencia is all about!! Totally recommend highly.

This charming haven should be at the top of everyone's list when in Placencia. Being the snazzy little town that it is, Placencia has a wealth of eateries and bars, something to fit every wallet and nearly every taste. Rumfish y Vino stands out, and is outstanding by any measure. Owners John and Pam Solomon have created a atmospheric marvel of warmth and style. The dishes are an intriguing mix of locavore and gourmet, resulting in a cuisine uniquely Belizean yet touched with hints of other exotic realms. A most creative bar provides delightful libations, making their own flavored liquors for drink recipes only found here, and the wine list is more extensive than most you will find in Belize. As we are in Belize quite regularly, it is no surprise that we always find a couple of days to spend in Placencia and avail ourselves of the sheer delight of several visits to Rumfish y Vino. This is a landmark establishment, and our very favorite.

I've read many reviews about Rumfish before I went and all the reviews sounded great.
This place did not disappoint. Such a cute place to eat, the food is great and the drinks are the best I have ever had.. We started with spicy plantain chips and Bruschetta. Both were very good. Next the kids had the best burger ever and my wife and I both ordered the braised short rib lasagna, and it was very tasty. I ordered the Pineapple habanero rum drink and let everyone taste it and everyone ordered one or two.. Really a nice evening ..oh and ended with the chocolate habanero cannoli .
