Description: Rumfish y vino is centrally located in the Placencia Village Square. Overlooking the ballfield has a festive and breezy atmosphere, and a cool ecclectic soundtrack. A GASTRO-BAR Central American style. From tapas & wine...to frosty draft beers & fish tacos, there is something for everyone to enjoy! AMAZING handcrafted cocktails made from fresh fruit infusions and housemade extracts. Ginger, Cocomut, Pineapple, Watermelon Mojitos and more. Small plates style dining plus great entrees and fresh and inspired specials daily. A place for locals and tourists alike. Rumfish y vino proudly imports all of their own wines too. Outdoor and indoor dining, and a big central bar with comfortable seating for dining or just enjoying a few Watermelon Mojitos!

This is a really fun restaurant in the Village. The owners are very nice and make a point of stopping by your table to welcome you and share the specials of the day. Specials always include a variety of cocktails made up fruit emulsions (beware of these...they're delicious, but pack a punch!) We shared the shrimp special (local jumbo shrimp wrapped in bacon) and the conch fritters to start. We then got a variety of dinner entrees and were all pleased with our selections. The fish curry special was fantastic as was the fish and banana curry dish. Rumfish has a number of flatbread pizzas that are tasty and big enough to share (we tried the Mediterranean lamb flatbread). The fish tacos are a staple of the menu and were delicious.

Food was good but service can be sketchy at times. Had to wait a long time to get our bill even with the owners sitting right at the bar next to us.

This was my first visit to Placencia and I was delighted to find this little gem of a restaurant. I was particular impressed with the outdoor dining which added a pleasant and relaxing vibe to my meal. The setting was cosy and friendly, unlike some restaurants which have a bit of an 'impersonal feel'.

The menu offered a great selection of meals for a reasonable price, with quality local ingredients and ample servings.I am a great seafood lover and was particularly impressed with the freshness of the fish.

The drinks menu was also fantastic with many options - there were so many delicious sounding ones it was difficult to finally make a selection.

Placencia is a beautiful place and this fantastic restaurant was the ideal place to unwind after a long hot day at the beach. I would definitely dine here again!

My husband and I went to Rumfish on our recent vacation in Placencia. We knew nothing about it except that the name appealed to us--we are big seafood fans and gravitate toward any restaurant with "fish" in the title! It was Christmas Eve and we were worried about being seated.

On a crowded, hopping, very busy night, the owners took personal care of us, finding us a seat at the bar and than watching out for an open table in case we wanted to move (we didn't.) The bartender was so friendly too. But the food--wow! We had the Conch Fritters--hot and crisp and delicious. Lee had a fish special--it was absolutely great--and I had the vegetarian Mankousha which is a truly yummy flatbread that comes out of the oven so fresh, with a thin crust and a tiny bit of char at the edges so you know it was baked in a real oven! We could not have enjoyed ourselves more; the environment was so warm and welcoming, the food was wonderful, the staff (especially the owners) were as gracious as could be. If only we could go more often!
