Description: We're certainly far from perfect, but we do try our best to create a winning experience for every single customer, whether they are hotel guests, Belizean neighbors or travelers staying at other hotels. Try pairing small plates with wines, choose from our creative main courses, or just enjoy some comfort food for breakfast or lunch. It's fun for us to meet new people and, well, just make them happy! Our casual beach bistro focuses on unique sauces and contemporary, tropical-themed flavor combinations while maintaining comfortable portions. Lots of fish and seafood. Bar service includes a 130-bottle wine list, local beer, rum drinks, and house specials. The outdoor atmosphere is casual so you can be comfortable in flip flops. Belize's "Restaurant of the Year" award was presented twice to the Bistro in June 2011 and May 2013.

We had a couple of very good dinners here, but the fish and chips at lunch was the best I have ever had. Ambiance is typical Belize beautiful and the service is excellent at any establishment here in Placencia.

Yummy drinks too!
Service was good and we saw the owner both times we were there, she was making sure all was good.

We loved this place so much we came for lunch, then hung around and stayed for dinner. We were staying off property in Placencia Village, but had heard if you eat there, you can use their pool and facility for the day. Our day started with the best meals we had the entire week (shrimp eggs benedict and bacon/mushroom bruschetta). Service was excellent. We relaxed in the hammocks on the overwater palapa, then swam in the ocean and the pool, enjoyed a few drinks and then sat down again for dinner. The outside dining area faces the ocean with a nice breeze. We had garlic shrimp, but the highlight was the peanut brittle ice cream pie. From Placencia Village it's a US$20 cab ride each way to get here, but it's worth it.

Every item we ordered was delicious and the portions were very generous. Try the Sassy shrimp pots and the halloom cheese and olive starter, but make sure to save room for the peanut brittle ice cream pie ....a slice of heaven on a plate. They sell amazing bread baguettes and bagels to take out which are worth the trip as finding a good bakery or bread is difficult.

We wandered up the beach the other night, a party of six with no reservation. They didn't even blink - the owner promptly found us a table.

Our waiter, Oscar, was perfect. Great sense of humour - even when 6 half-snapped Canucks managed to get his name wrong for half the meal - completely on top of our drinks, apps and meals. All the people who served us water or cleared plates did so with smiles and friendly natures.

And the food! Wow! Every single thing we ordered - and we ordered a LOT - was fantastic. Presentation, taste, price...superb.

Definitely make this a stop if you're near Placencia.
