Don't let the outward appearance of this restaurant fool you. Omar is quite a character and will sing, tell stories and generally keep you entertained. We ran into him a few days later in San Ignacio and he gave us a very enthusiastic wave and hello when he saw us.
One of the locals recommended this place and we went once for breakfast and once for dinner. The day we went for dinner, we were lucky that Omar had just gotten in some fresh snook (a very mild, tasty white fish) and lobster. We had one of each dinner and both were delicious. The snook was done in a creole sauce, and our lobster came with garlic butter.
For breakfast, we tried the huevos rancheros and the breakfast burrito and stuffed fry jack which were all tasty. A local told us that Omar has very good coffee and he was right - Gallon Jug coffee which was very tasty.
We would recommend this place based on the good quality food and friendly service that we received.
