We came to Belize with our 3 kids, 7, 10 and 12 to get off the beaten path. We had no plans or reservations and wanted to go with what grabbed us. Normally we try to avoid places like this but in Belize they are the norm. We decided to try Lodge at Chaa Creek based on the reviews. We arrived unannounced in the pouring rain and were treated as if they had spent all day waiting for us. The accommodations are fantastic! Clean, comfortable and beautiful. The staff could not be nicer and the food was terrific. It was nothing like an al inclusive of this type normally feels. They had many outings that were free and many you could pay for but none were pushed. We travelled out of season so the price of the room was dropped and breakfast, which was the best meal of the day, was included in the room.
This is really a special place and I would actually go back which is something we never do!More
