Description: You may feel like you're in a Seinfeld episode at this friendly six-booth, hole-in-the-wall diner. Best omelets in town and bottomless cups of coffee make this San Ignacio's worst-kept breakfast secret and a great place to meet other diners. Good burritos at lunchtime.

This place is cheap enough that I could go every day, but I save it for a special treat. I always order the same thing--coffee, fresh-squeezed orange juice, eggs over easy with bacon, beans, and fry jack, which costs only $14 BZ/$7 USD altogether. It's always a peak experience. Verna, the server, is very sweet and friendly. The ambiance is great--it's tiny, with only six booths that look like they're made out of carnival plywood--and I get my CNN fix from the tiny TV in the corner. Often, especially on weekdays, spirited political discussions break out among the regulars. This is a San Ignacio institution.

This is around the corner from Martha's Guesthouse, and was the only place open downtown for breakfast on the day we were there. Service was good, food was fast and good, and cheap, as well.

Place is very small. There is the usual open sewer out front, and the usual number(for LatinAmerica) of big roaches in the corners.

Pop's has high reviews from Lonely Planet and Trip Advisor, but it's just pretty basic diner food. The eggs and beans are good (skip the pancakes), and bottomless coffee is nice. Nothing extraordinary, but a good place for breakfast.
