You can do this in less than an hour, it's right in back of the Hotel San Ignacio, and it's a great experience.

This was amazing! Our guide was passionate about Iguanas. Wow! He was knowledgeable, friendly and patient. If you like lizards and the challenge of having 10 on you at once, you will love this place for sure! I have some pretty neat photos!

we absolutely loved the iguana tour at the san ignacio resort hotel. it only takes an hour, it's cheap, it's right in town, and you get to hold a whole bunch of iguanas! the medicine trail tour was an added bonus. umberto was our guide and he was just great. don't miss this gem of an experience.

This is a tiny little preserve located at the back of a hotel. You get a wonderful little tour through the local jungle (maybe a 10 minute walk) and then get to spend time in the iguana cages holding the babies. Our tour guide even enticed our 11 year old to try eating termites during the tour which was utterly priceless. I highly recommend you check this out. Fees from the tour help provide funding for this very worthy conservation project.
