“Jungle Dome is a jungle oasis!”
Reviewed April 12, 2008

This was my second trip to Belize, and my second stay at the Jungle Dome! This time I brought the whole family, (two adults and 5 kids) and what a wonderful time we had!
The resort is small, quiet and quaint, and situated in a perfect spot for reasonably quick access to all the jungle type tours. A perfect place to come "home" to after a day of touring. The rooms are very spacious and clean, the staff is super friendly, and the food is fantastic! Everything made from scratch and lots of it! My "kids", ages 15-29, are still talking about the food!
Must do tours: The Black Hole drop, The ATM caving tour and the Cave tubing. Wouldn't reccommend the Zipline. I didn't think it was good value for the money....but then if you've ever done the Zipline in Whistler, B.C., Canada, it's really hard to find something that will compare to that!
All in all, a fabulous trip thanks in a very large part to the Jungle Dome and their great staff!!

The Jungle Dome exceeded any expectations we had - what a wonderful place to stay! Karen, David, Juany and Tella made us feel comfortable and right at home. The food was great, the lodge and the surrounding area was fun to explore and the tours arrranged through the Jungle Dome were fantastic. We had a wonderful family adventure vacation - our 9 yr old son enjoyed every minute of our stay!

We visited the CheChemHa Cave, Xanantunich, Belize Zoo, Caracol, went cave tubing, horseback riding and had a river boat tour. All were amazing (we hit the cave tubing at the same time as the cruise ship folks but we still had fun). We feel so fortunate to have had Louis as our guide for three days. He's so knowledgable about Mayan history and the culture of Belize - we had a great time learning so much from him . We didn't realize it at the time but he's also a bit of a celebrity. We just saw him on the History Channel as the guide for the host of a show on underground cities. William, the guide and 'founder' of the CheChemHa Cave was also on the show.

We stayed fours days at the Jungle Dome before leaving for Ambergris Caye. Our son, who is usually a beach type of person, didn't want to leave.

We hope to see all again soon!

The Jungle Dome is the perfect place to stay on a jungle getaway. It's located down a 5 mile dirt road, which makes it ideal for waking up to local birds, wildlife, and a beautiful river in the back. All to yourself! I was traveling with a large group of 8 and we stayed in the Villa. It's was the perfect size, with 3 bathrooms and a full kitchen. The staff also took great care of us with incredible meals and making many of the travel arrangements for day trips. I would recommend this place to anyone, and I fully intend to return!

We stayed at the Belize Jungle Dome at the beginning of January 2008. The staff treated us like family from the moment we arrived. The meals
were absolutely amazing!! The rooms were just beautiful and very, very
clean. I loved the shower and the bed was HEAVENLY!-especially after a full day of hiking in the jungle and repelling into a black hole. Relaxing up by the bar and gushing about the day to David or Karen was just wonderful. They made you feel like it was the first time hearing a story about your adventure - even if they have probably heard something similiar from a hundred other visitors. They made you feel like you were the only one who mattered and that your stories were the greatest:-)

The pool is just amazing, and a great way to beat the heat. You get to look out over the property and down to the river as you are taking a swim, with the huge Guanacaste tree looking over you. You can book a number of adventures through the lodge with Karen and I would recommend them all, we did them all and definitely each one was unique
and memorable all on its own.

The guide, Luis, that you can book through the Jungle Dome for cabe tubing and ATM caving (as well as other things) is just amazing and one of the greatest ambassador's for a country I have ever met! Karen and the staff make sure everything you could ever want or need is there for you. Very accomodating. Just an amazing place to stay, really did feel like home. When we left and toured other areas of the country, we really felt homesick for the Jungle Dome. This is definitely a place to hang your hat while in Belize, I would even recommend hanging your hat for a LONG while there:-)

If you are looking for the perfect family adventure vacation look no further! The Jungle Dome has great people, fantastic amenities and even better activities that can be arranged for just about any age. Never had we had so much fun and been treated so well on vacation!

We arrived on a Monday afternoon with our 3 daughters, ages 6, 8 & 10 ready for our stay of nine days. David picked us from the airport in one of the several quality vehicles the Jungle Dome uses for transportation. He is a friendly and sincere young man and we enjoyed our many conversations with him throughout our stay.

Our first day was spent horseback riding in the mountains with top notch guides/cowboys who took very good care of us. They were especially patient with our eldest daughter who frightens easily. After a full day of riding we stopped to swim at the other "blue hole". What a lovely little oasis in the middle of the green, green jungle.

Our second day saw our middle daughter come down with a bug she picked up while traveling. Karen, the manager at the Jungle Dome, graciously offered to rearrange our itinerary to accommodate her "slowed down" state which eventually overcame our other two girls, as well. Without Karen having done this, one of us would have had to stay behind to care for a sick child for 2-3 days. As it was, we didn't miss a thing. Thanks, Karen for going above and beyond the call of duty! We appreciate it!

The following days we visited Xunantunich, Barton Creek Caves, The Butterfly Farm, The Belize Zoo, kayaked down the river, interacted with dolphins, went cave tubing, spent time snorkeling and then went horseback riding once again. All the experiences we had were great and the guides knowledgeable and friendly. It was perfect to be out and about during the day and then come back to the Jungle Dome to rest and relax.

We stayed in the Jungle Dome villa which was absolutely phenomenal. The extra space it gave our family was very much appreciated. The food was fantastic, but being sick, our girls were a little sensitive to the different fare. My husband and I very much enjoyed the cuisine though.

I can't say enough about the people at the Jungle Dome. They really made our trip fantastic. Everyone was friendly and attentive without being overbearing...just generally all around great people. Our thanks to them for making our vacation so good.

Trust that you will be treated well!

Arriving at the Jungle Dome after a week of travelling in Belize was like dropping into an oasis of calm bliss! The rooms themselves are really well laid out, well furnished and immaculately clean. Loved the size of the king-size bed! Meals are included and each meal during our 4 night stay was fabulous - blending local mayan ingredients with well-cooked and recognisbale favourites. Breakfasts certainly set us up for the day. We all loved the pool (one of the reasons we booked as many of the jungle lodges do not have a pool) and sun terrace area where you could just kick back, have a drink and enjoy the wildlife within the grounds. Staff and service were exceptional - special thanks to Karen, the manager, who made it all seem so easy and effortless when organising excursions, massages and just providing advice and help when needed. Would recommend this to anyone!
