“worth the stop”

Driving towards Placencia we did a stop at St. Herman's Blue Hole National Park. We Went cave tubing, Omar, our tour guide was very friendly, knowledgeable and so funny. It was our second time doing cave tubing and it was the best. First of all it was very private, and peaceful, opposite to what we did at nohoch che'en or Jaguar Paw, floating with hundreds of people "that is not fun". With Omar of Belize Inland Tours we had the entire cave for our self. Before starting tubing we did a walk into the cave approximately 350 yards, really nice formation, artifacts that were left by the ancient mayas and Omar also had a good knowledge of the mayan history. Turning our lights off while floating was awesome, so dark, it's really another world. After the tour that took approximately 2.5 hrs we went for a swim at the blue hole, really nice natural pool, the water was so refreshing. It really worth the stop.

“Cave tubing with no crowds”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 18, 2013

We stopped at St Herman's Cave on a whim (literally driving by and decided to stop). We decided to try cave tubing there and Neko was a great guide. It was just us and Neko and the experience was awesome! He even had us turn off our head lamps for a time so we could truly see what complete darkness is like. I highly recommend checking this out instead of some of the bigger places where you'll probably be with loads of other people.

When you're done, you can go down the road about a mile and stop in at the Blue Hole. It's not too exciting, but definitely cool to see (and take a quick swim).

“Fabulous Adventure!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 22, 2013

Spent 2 days with Neko from Belize Inland Tours. What a wonderful experience we had. We started with the Crystal Cave. Went to Wonderland! A challenging adventure. But we'll worth it. One of those things you say "been there, done that"! Then did the 7 mile tubing thru the caves. Another great time. Finished our day off at the Zip lines.
Neko and his partner Omar are the best. They know how to make your adventure worth while.
Can't say enough about the trip. A lot of stories will be told!!!

“Lovely hike & Lazy River”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 21, 2013

Our group of friends chose to try cave tubing on a whim. We had a wonderful bus host, Edmond, who was informative of his country and it's economy. He was extremely forthcoming on each question we asked and we learned to love his country from his love of it. When we arrived at the river for tubing our guide, Doni was marvelous - extremely knowledgeable. The hike to the river was paced according to the walker's ability and took about 1/2 hour. The tube experience was well worth the walk!

“Float through paradise!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 6, 2012

Omar, our guide did an excellent job showing us the way through the underground river! He was very knowledgeable about the cave, the animals and the history.
Since we were there in off season, we had a private tour of the caves, just the two of us.
Saw so many things (bats, plants growing in the dark, fish, Mayan artifacts, etc.)
It was $44 US/person which included the tubes, head lamps, and the tour. We felt safe, even when the bats were swooping through out the caves.
Also once we emerged from the cave, while walking back to the visitor's center, we came across some wildlife too. A baby version of the most poisonous snake crossed the path. And a big tarantula, which Omar picked up for us, so I could get pictures of it. So brave!
Would highly recommend it and Omar!!
