We had a wonderful time, there were 8 of us, ranging from ages 10 to 67years old! We all zip lined, which was incredible. We all felt very safe, the guides were all very helpful and confident. But the mosquitoes were HUGE, so bring good bug spray. We didn’t apply enough bug spray and we all had some pretty huge bug bites!
Cave tubing was cool; we did only the 3 caves which took 1 hour from the hike up to the caves from floating down the river. Our guide (forgive me I forgot his name) was so very intelligent about the native plants and trees in the jungle. He explained how to survive in the jungle and how medicine is still being produced out of the jungle plants. In our opinion, 3 caves were just fine; it’s a very slow float. The caves are beautiful and amazing to see, but I wouldn’t do it again. Its one of those things,” been there, done that" won’t do it again.
At the end of our tour we were taken to the main lobby/restaurant and given a Belizean lunch; rice, bean, chicken and coleslaw. Excellent food, And if you like HOT sauce, ask for the homemade salsa....wow, its smoking hot.
