We were in Belize via Carnival Dream on June 11th 2013. We met at our assigned meeting spot in Belize which was through the gates of terminal 4. We were greeted by a coral breeze tour guide and was escorted to their office to pay for the tour and choose what we wanted for our lunch and drink. We had choices such as, roast chicken & rice, grilled chicken sandwich, burrito, grilled cheese and about 3 other items to choose from for lunch. When everyone going on the tour was there we boarded a speed boat. The speed boat was a lot of fun, but you will get wet on the way out to snorkel and wear plenty of sun screen because there is no cover over this boat. We snorkeled at the reef which was beautiful and then we went to Shark/Ray alley where we went in the water with nurse sharks and sting rays. We did observe while on our tour that the cruise ship tour was not getting as much individual attention and did not get to snorkel or spend as much time in the water with the sharks & rays as we did. After the snorkeling adventure we were given water and fresh pineapple. Then we headed over to Caye Caulker for lunch on an outside covered patio at a small resort. I was surprised by how good lunch actually was. Everyone that wanted to drink also had time to buy and enjoy drinks. The resort we had lunch at sold 5 beers for $10. We also had time to walk the sandy streets of Caye Caulker to see what life was like on the island. Then we boarded the speed boat to head back to the mainland. On our way back we stopped to look at 2 dolphins (a mom and her baby) that someone on the boat had spotted. It was a great trip and I am glad (as always) that I booked the tour myself instead of through the cruise line. We had about 20 tourist on the boat and 5 tour guides.

My family and I visited Belize last week during a cruise aboard the Carnival Conquest. I had researched various options for this port ahead of time and opted to book a tour to Altun Ha with Coral Breeze rather than directly through the cruise line. Mark sent us a detailed email a few days before our cruise with instructions on how to locate our tour guide as the meeting point would be outside the gates for tourism village. Our tender boat arrived at the dock shortly before our meeting time. My family and I followed the instructions provided and were very happy to see Ivar waiting for us right at the gate. From the moment he picked us up to the time he dropped us off (directly in front of the gate to return to tourism village) Ivar proved to be a wonderful guide and host. It was obvious from the get go that he is incredibly proud of his country and quite knowledgeable about its history, geography and wildlife. It was wonderful to have our own personal guide at the ruins. We had Ivars undivided attention while he expertly led us through the history of Altun Ha. For anyone looking to book through a private company rather than the cruise line for an excursion I would highly recommend coral breeze and Ivar, specifically. We felt completely safe walking and driving through Belize and Ivar made several stops along the way for water, fresh mangos and photo opportinuties than enhanced our experience. Along with all this, he delivered us back to the port with a few hours to spare so we also had plenty of time to do some shopping in tourism village as well.

Mid May my wife and I arrived in Belize on the Carnival Conquest and had a tour booked with Coral Breeze. We caught the first tender out and arrived almost an hour early, so we followed directions and located the office. Staff was very friendly. We were somewhat surprised at the size of the boat. Quite small for 17 people and very little shade. However, it ended up not being a factor and the captain and other guide were quite knowledgeable and helpful. We had our own equipment but those who did not got theirs at Caye Caulker. Wonderful snorkeling. Spent a little time with the stingrays and a shark or two also. Afterward, we had lunch at a delightful little restaurant on Caye Caulker. We would have no problem booking another excursion with Coral Breeze. They were very conscientious of time pressures and getting us back in time for our tender.

We booked our excursion through Coral Breeze Tours on April 17th while visiting Belize for the day (cruise). Our three guides for the day were phenomenal and gave us some great information about Belize, Caye Caulker and the surrounding waters. They took us 21 miles from Belize City to the Hol Chan marine reserve to the coral gardens along the barrier reef. Mark brought us all along the reef and pointed out fish, conch shells, etc. He was great with the kids who were snorkeling for the first time. After the reef, we headed to Shark Ray Alley where we were able to swim with the rays and nurse sharks!

After our snorkeling was done, we headed back to Caye Caulker for a great Belizean lunch at a local restaurant right on the beach. After lunch we had time to explore the caye a bit before boarding the boat for the ride back to Belize City. We were fortunately enough to see a group of dolphins on the way back. Raul our captain actually turned the boat around and shut off the engine so we could get a good look at the dolphins.

Overall, a great day in Belize. I would highly recommend Coral Breeze Tours for your time in Belize!

We did this excursion in early April, my husband and I. We booked directly through Coral Breeze and caught the tender off our ship and walked to where we were supposed to meet this tour co. We had to walk through a kind of icky dirt parking lot to get to the boat which was okay, but the one issue we had with this tour we didn't like, was that it was very crowded. There was 27 people on this boat and I think 20 including crew would have been plenty.....it was crowded, you couldn't move around, you certainly had no room to take stuff on or off, no room for bags, nothing. The weather was nice but windy that day and we went to one snorkel site (not shark ray alley yet) but they seemed very unorganized, took them quite a while to anchor and they had to pull up to another boat to borrow some chum. The Captain had to balance the boat by moving passengers, which to us showed a sign of an over loaded boat. The snorkeling was pretty good. We then all got back on the boat soaking wet and headed to shark ray alley. We saw one shark which was cool and tonnes of rays, which was pretty cool. After that we loaded back on the boat and they took us to Cay Caulker and we were taken to an outdoor restaurant for lunch. There is only one public bathroom on the whole island this place has it, so expect a long lineup......the lunch was decent. We had a little time to walk the main strip of the island and then were taken back to Belize. All in all, it was okay, would have been a lot better if it was less crowded. We did this excursion through our cruise line about 3 years ago and it was much less crowded and we enjoyed it a bit more.......
