This was an easy hike and comfortable tube ride activity. You do have to carry your own tube, but it is super light and you make many stops along the way so it is no big deal. Be prepared to drive from the tubing office to the park entry (less than 10 minute drive) and then back again if lunch is part of your package. Vital was great with pre-trip correspondence via email. Our guide, Perfelio (spelling?), was great.
We recommend cavetubing.bz because this excursion tubes farther than any of the other groups down the river which means rather than hike (I use this term loosely, it is a walk) back as far and on the same route you hiked in on, you spend most of it on the tube. We were a group of 8 with 1 guide and were provided with 2 very bright lights to look around in the cave in addition to the headlamps we were each provided on our helmets.
Depending on the water levels you could potentially stay dry during this excursion from the waist up if you choose not to hop in the water to cool down. If you are also doing the ATM cave I recommend doing this first, as it is not quite as spectacular as the ATM cave.
We wore athletic or swim shorts and cotton or performance tshirts along with solomon and keen water shoes which worked well.
Lunch was chicken, rice & beans, coleslaw and a drink-delicious!
