Those touring with cavetubing.bz will be educated about the country of Belize, the flora and fauna, the history of the ancient Maya, and the geological and archaeological information about the cave and the area. Prior to getting to Belize we had heard amazing reviews about this company, so we were eager to try cave tubing and zip lining. When we arrived to the port, we had a little trouble finding our tour guides, but it wasn't a huge problem. Our tour guides, Ralph and Jorge were so kind. They introduced themselves and gave us a run down of what was going to be happening that day. Since we were the only family doing zip lining, they dropped us off at the zip lining with Jorge while the other family headed up to the caves with Ralph. Being as it was our first time ever zip lining it was wonderful that the instructors were so nice and helpful on helping us overcome our first time jitters and it ended up being so amazing and fun for the kids and for us as well. After our zip lining, Jorge took us to the cave tubing site where he feed us non-stop information about the plants and wildlife of the area, he even showed us and gave us a plant that tasted like a sour apple. After our amazing adventure into two caves, we made our way to Vitalino's house for lunch, where the food was beyond amazing, all of us got seconds. My son loved the rice and beans so much I asked if it was okay if I had a recipe of it and they ever so kindly gave me a copy of the recipe. Beyond that, Ralph and Jorge both went above and beyond and cut down some coconuts and we all got to drink coconut water and eat coconut. Ralph and Jorge were not only informative and kind
but also entertaining and fun to talk to. They kept everything light hearted and we not only had tons of fun, but also learned a lot about the culture of Belize and it's safe to say this excursion was amazing and the best excursion we experienced on the cruise.

This trip was so streamlined, the communication from the beginning was perfect. Read your instructions carefully and follow them you will not be disappointed. Tour guides were very entertaining and helpful. Great value for money. Beautiful scenery, safe as houses and delicious traditional meal thrown in.
I couldn't recommend this trip more highly.
One tip take you camera in a waterproof bag to get the most amazing shots to remember this fun, fun day.

Researched places on Tripadvisor for our cruise in the Western Caribbean on Carnival. This place had outstanding reviews. We got to Belize and rode the tender boats to the mainland (MAKE SURE TO GET ON THE BOATS TO BELIZE EARLY, THIS IS A LONG TRIP). We walked out toward the gates that the ship advises you not to go past and saw the "cavetubing.bz" poster being held by one of the workers. Went to them and they talked to us about the charge and the process of getting us back to the ship on time. Very friendly and welcoming. We drove about 1-1.5 hours out of the city and the Jonathan and Lionel kept us entertained with funny jokes, facts about Belize, and what we should be on the lookout for. We also made a restroom stop before getting to the Zip-lining which was nice. Zip lining was very fun, but make sure to apply mosquito repellent before, myself and the wife had 40+ bites each within 1 hour being there. The crew was awesome and very safety oriented. The owner also rode with us and had a tarantula he was holding when we got back to the buses, he is a extremely nice and entertaining man. We then went to the cave-tubing area (national park that many other cave tubing companies also use). At the cave area they have people selling stuff, a bar, a souvenir store, and some other small items like bug spray and food you can buy.
We got all our equipment and walked about 30-40 mins through the jungle all while Jonathan and Lionel taught us about the Jungle animals, plants, history, and legends. The leaf-cutter ant trails and types of trees there are incredible. The cave tubing part was pretty neat as the guides would spin us around to see things and talk us through how it formed, how the local Mayans would use it and the types of fish that may be in the water or not... After cave tubing which was pretty amazing they took us to have lunch. It was rice and beans with a delicious sauce and rum-punch... all you could drink. MAKE SURE TO USE THE BATHROOM BEFORE LEAVING. I made this mistake and after a bunch of rum-punches the 1 hour ride back was pretty uncomfortable (they would have stopped if i had asked, but i held out). Of course we made it back to the tender boats with plenty of time to spare, a great experience, and a little tipsy.

I have recommended this trip to family and friends when/if they go on a cruise to the W. Caribbean. It would be great for anyone ages 10-65 (older if your in great shape).

1) Get bug spray and good water/walking shoes (can also rent crocs for cheap)
2) Get off ship early and go towards gates for city
3) Put your learning and walking pants on, these guys know their stuff and like to share
4) Prepare to eat a good homemade meal and surprisingly strong rum-punch

We emailed Vitalino ahead to say we were interested in cave tubing combined with an informative natural history tour and he assigned us a brilliant guide called Alfredo who had excellent knowledge of plant and animaal species. Alfredo spotted all sorts of wildlife on the walk to the tubes and was really accommodating of all our questions and was patient with our stopping to look at things. He taught us about medicinal plants, tamed a tarantula for us to hold, and pointed out lots of birds including manakins. We had the cave to ourselves and Alfredo steered our tubes carefully and looked after us well. On the way out it was dark and we saw a young false coral snake swimming in the river - really special - and there were fireflies on the bank, it was very beautiful. Lunch with Vitalino's family was also excellent. Highly recommended.

We did cave tubing and ziplining. Vitalino and his brother Alfredo picked us up in Belize city from the water taxi. We had our own van and they were both so nice. We did ziplining first and cave tubing second. The hike to the caves, Alfredo made it amazing. He showed us differnt leaves/stems that were edible and let us try them. He even scooped some termites out of a nest and my husband ate them! He lured a tarantula from under a rock so we could see. After the caves we changed and lunch was prrovided by the owner Vitalino. The day was incredible long due to having to take the water taxi back to San Pedro. Great experiences though. Would recommend these guys to everyone.
