After arriving in Belize City after a week on Cay Caulker, we looked around and didn't see many places that looked like dining options for tourists (lets face it, we definitely looked like tourists). This was right across the street from our hotel, so we very safely ran across the road. It was pretty empty as it was a little late for lunch. I ordered a Belekin and the vegetarian platter. The falafel, hummus, babaganoush, pita, etc was all great. No complaints whatsoever. It was a nice change from the food we had been eating all week. I forget what we paid, but it seemed to us that everything we ate on the trip was less than eating at a restaurant here (in the US).

Great food!

Visited for lunch , it is small place clean and good menu options , haven't seen to many people not sure if it is because of the time or holidays.
Had one of their chicken pita bread rolls and tasted good.
Tried to go again but they where closed.

The food in The Sahara Grill is awesome. It was one of our favorite places to eat and was a "must dine" before we left the country. The owner even made me some extra garlic sauce to take back to the states! The staff is also very friendly and courtious. Thanks for a great dining experience!

The owner had a restaurant in Montreal before coming to Belize City. He is Lebanese and does his own cooking and baking. He makes fresh pita bread every morning (soft and delicious). His beef is the most tender in all of Belize. The restaurant is clean and tidy with lots of pictures and Mediterranean articles on display. The skewered meats (beef, chicken, lamb, etc. were all delicious, as was the Tabbouleh salad. Best restaurant in Belize City in our opinion!!

This place was within walking distance of D'Nest B&B where we were staying. The food was the very good and the owner was engaging. Dining notices are limited in this area of Belize City, but this fit the bill for us that evening.
