We were told in a store that the museum was closed on a Saturday which was not true and it was almost by accident that we went in.
What a lovely place. The museum tells the history of Belize and shows the development from the Mayan era, complete with model villages and jewellery to the colonial era and beyond.
Lovely displays of the building of the railway system to support the logging industry and some great displays of the coming of aviation.
Is fairly compact and an hour or two is all that is needed.
Really well set out and gives a good background to this country which I was quite ignorant about.
