“A great little museum”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

Go Visit. It is in a really cool old prison, the bricks came from England! Very nice, small, won;t take all day kind of museum. Info on Belizeian modern history and great stuff on the Maya. Plus it is the most fabulous gift shop!! We found the absolute inexpensive jewlery anywhere. If you don't have a lot of cash to spend, buy your hand made stuff here!!

“Air-Coditioned and walking distance to Water Taxi”
Reviewed April 5, 2013

If you are taking a water taxi to Caye Caulker or Ambergis Caye, check your bags and walk to the museum. It's 4 blocks away and is absolutely wonderful. Besides being air conditioned, clean and safe it has informative exhibits, artifacts and knowledgeable personnel. It's well worth the $10 Belize.

“Very interesting place!”
Reviewed February 12, 2013

Knowing more about History of Belize was funnier at the Museum than in books. I enjoyed every moment and was amazed discovering what cannot be expressed with ink and paper.
