Owner description: This fantastic excursion showcases this marvelous Tropical location, Goff's Caye! The Atoll features 2 acres of Tropical Paradise where you will find beautiful, natural white sand and one of the very few pristine beaches found in the entire Country of Belize. Goff's Caye is not a man-made beach, it is a natural wonder!

The crew was amazing, including guides that are in school to be a marine biologist. We saw more snorkeling on this trip than we did with scuba in Roatan. Eagle rays, octopus, sting rays, starfish, parrot fishes, angel fish, urchins and so many more. It was beautiful and an experience I'll never forget.

We took this tour on Jan 4, 2013. Our family of seven enjoyed Goff's Caye (two adults, five kids ages ranging 15 to 5.) What we didn't love was the process to get on the boat to Goff's, compared to other tours we took on other islands. We easily found our guy as soon as we stepped off the tender, which was nice, but then we needed to wait for others to join and wait as he attempted to sell a few more tours. We were then walked over to the spot where we needed to pay for the remainder of the trip, and that line was very long. If you do this trip through Island Marketing MAKE SURE YOU BRING YOUR RECEIPT! I forgot mine and luckily had it on my phone, but I think that took a little longer and I was sorry for the people behind us. Once we paid, signed waivers, and got our wrist bands, we were told that we missed the boat, but not to worry, another one was coming out. I was not thrilled with this as there was really no waiting area and very little organization, and I was nervous that we would miss the next boat. After waiting about 25 minutes, we were indeed taken to a boat and boarded. The boat was crowded, person to person, and takes about a half hour to get to Goff's Caye. They guys are the boat were pleasant and most everyone just sat quietly. Once on Goff's Caye, we found a small little island with great swimming and snorkeling. Perfect for the kids because it's pretty shallow a fair way out. Beautiful water. They offer free rum punch and kids (non-alcoholic) punch but it is in small containers and when it runs out, it's gone. My advice, if you want rum punch, start helping yourself quickly. There was one couple making a big ruckus because they had gone with the snorkeling group on the boat and when they got back, there was no more punch! They were very upset. There are beers and sodas for purchase, and snacks. That day they had only chicken and later lobster on the bbq, and we bought both - CASH ONLY - and it was delish! Chicken $8 and lobster $10 if I am remembering correctly... it didn't seem outrageously priced. Served with beans and rice. My kids loved it too. They have bathrooms there (you'll see the pictures) - tiny, no sink just hand sanitizer, but the toilets flush kind of, so it's better than a port-o-potty. Overall, we enjoyed this excursion. I think it's great for people who don't want go cave tubing, zip lining, or see ruins. I did a ton of research and you can't really get to a beach from the cruise tender by cab (if you want bathrooms or food while you're there.) I would recommend this excursion! The guides were very nice and answered lots of questions about Belize in general. The island is very pretty. PS, My seven year old found about 30 tiny hermit crabs and was thrilled to play with them while we were there.

This caye has the most beautiful turquoise water surrounding it. The caye deserves a 5 star rating, but because of so many people on the 2 acre island, it could not live up to its potential beauty. Coming off of a cruise ship, the guides were easy to find. They sent us down the pier to the business front that is almost in an alley. Instructions were to meet at 9. We did not leave until 9:45, but this was reparated by allowing us to stay later at the caye. A group of about 30 of us piled onto a boat that took us to Goff's Caye in about 35 minutes. As we pulled up, we could see there had to be 50+ people already at the island with 3 boats already docked at the small pier. This was disappointing as other reviewers pictures did not show this many people. We were given 10 minutes to get settled and then we got back on the boat for snorkeling. After a brief instruction, we scooted out about 50 yards from the island and were dropped in the water in groups of 8 with a guide. The guide was fanatically trying to keep us within 10 feet of him. He was helpful to name all of the different types of coral. Snorkeling lasted about 45 minutes and we snorkeled right back to the island's shore. Next we joined the crowd and bought lunch (lobster $10, chicken kabob $8) and had all the free rum punch you could drink (even though the tour's description says one per person). There is one port-o-potty. Sunbathing is easy if you can find the somewhere to place your towel, but there is no shade. Sunscreen and hats are a must. We were gathered at 1:20 to return to the boat back to Belize City. My recommendation is to visit on a non-cruise ship day. We were there when 4 ships were tendered.

About a 30 minute boat ride after the tender to the port in Belize we reached Goffs Caye, tiny approx.2 acre island, got off the boat and spread out our towels. We got back aboard and were taken to a reef to snorkle with Jose' guiding. He was amazing, pointing out beautiful fish, diving down to bring up shells and showing how barracuda will go after his snorkle when he throws it and it sinks! We snorkled back to the island and walked right out of the water and on to the beach. Afterward, a few cold beers on the beautiful beach under palm trees, swimming and relaxing for a couple of hours. Not for those who need to be pampered. No chairs (3 picnic tables), towels are a must, not much food - grilled chicken, lobster tail (small), or rice and beans, beer to buy. We skipped the food. Again our boat staff were awesome so a big shout out to JOSE' AND LEON(AKA THE MEDIC)for a great afternoon.$38 per person including transport.

We were a bit hesitant to try an "off ship" excursion, but this turned out to be our best day of the cruise! Island Marketing was very professional. Our main guides were Jose and Natalie and they were absolutely awesome. Jose lead us in our snorkeling and would dive down and bring stuff up for us to see or point stuff out. The island they take you to is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! We saw a spotted ray, sea turtles, squid and fish. The rum punch was GREAT. We did not eat on the island, but it smelled great. We hope to go back sometime!!
