We were a group of 5 adults and one infant w/ a car seat. We rented a 16-17 Kia Sedona, and when we arrived at Crystal Auto, one was waiting for us at the lot. The rental process was quick and easy, and we were given a phone and a cooler for free. The phone can only call their toll-free number, but it was fine. We actually used the phone to call them to find out if we can fill our gas at MNM in Placencia (they said MNM is good quality, and yes, we can fill up there. They also said we can fill up at the Marina at Robert Grove's).

We filled up the car at MNM and let me tell you, I understand why they want you to fill up at certain gas stations. When we picked up the car, it was super sluggish. Passing cars on the road was difficult and could have been dangerous. After we filled up, we noticed a huge difference in acceleration. You hear and feel the car move! I came to conclusion that the last person who filled up the car must've used sub par fuel. If you rent from them or from anyone else, use better quality gas! It might cost you a little bit more, but the car will perform better and you are helping the business prolong the life of their vehicles!

A plus on this rental was that they give free pick up or drop off service with the rental (I'm not sure if there's a minimum number of nights though). The same car was used to drive us to the San Pedro Water Taxi Terminal and it saved time unloading and loading our luggage and the car seat onto another vehicle. Another plus is the gentleman that took us to the water taxi terminal. I forgot his name (sorry!), but he was very kind and gave us advice on catching the water taxi i.e., one person run to get the tickets, another person hand over the luggage to one of the porters and follow to make sure it gets to the boat, etc. Thanks to him, we got on the boat on time and everything went smoothly! We will definitely rent from Crystal Auto again!
