It's the nicest hotel on the island. Perfect location right on the beach front and close to two piers. The accommodation was of a very good standard and the hot tubs were an added bonus! It's not the cheapest place you'll stay but the roof terrace for rooms 2 and 4 captured the sun for the whole day. Breakfast very basic but overall very impressed!

Caye Caulker is beautiful and chill - a wonderful place to go to relax and just enjoy the beauty of Belize. The Seaside Cabanas hotel is perfect - waterfront with big rooms, a beautiful pool, and walking distance to everything. This place is right off the water taxi, a very short walk down the beach. I would recommend getting one of the front rooms - then you can have a rooftop hot tub overlooking the ocean! Very cool.

at 10am. Asked the staff for a later checkout but wasnt considered, offered to pay for a later one and was also refused. Beds were so hard I had to have a massage the next day. Arrived on Good Friday and the whole island was not serviing alcohol..no wine for dinner..no cold beer, a word of warning from the hotel would have been nice as I would have duty free'd myself up before arriving. Love Caye Caulker otherwise.

Hello,

Thank you for taking time to write a review. I am sorry that you found your visit to the hotel to be so negative.
We generally pride ourselves for the feedback we get on our service and our friendly welcome.
In regard to the late checkout we will always accommodate any guests as best we can who want to stay later than the agreed time, but as you can imagine we also need to get the room cleaned to a high standard for the next guest to enter the room at their agreed check in time.
I am sure you would have been distressed to arrive after your check in time to find your room not ready. As we are a small hotel and people book specific rooms, we do not have the ability to shuffles guests around like some large hotels in big cities.

Also the beds firmness is down to individual taste. We did start out with some softer mattresses but from feedback have found most guests prefer a fairly firm bed.

In regard to the alcohol situation, yes Belize takes its Easter licencing laws seriously and no liquor can be served on Good Friday. We wll certainly consider making this more obvious to guests that are arriving at this time in the future. Though this is a common practice in many countries around the world.

I was referred to this little gem by a local Belizian. My wife and I stayed here for the first couple of days of our honeymoon and it was a great experience. It was very chill and laid back, the staff was exceptionally pleasant and friendly, and always ready with a quick recommendation for food, bars, dive shops, etc. I look forward to visiting again soon. The atmosphere lent itself to a relaxed environment and we got to know the bar tenders and other guest very quickly. Great place, highly recommended!

Room Tip: Go for one of the rooms with a hot tub on the roof - so great!

This is a beautiful property, well maintained, centrally located with bicycle to rent. The rooms are lovely and done up in Belize style. Some rooms have their own private balconies with hot tub, talapa and hammock! Delicious continental style breakfast included in a very reasonable price. Wonderful, friendly staff on site to help with anything you may need from towels for the pool to tours on and off the caye. This is the place to stay in slow-moving Caye Caulker.

Room Tip: Rooms 1-4 have private balconies. There is also one "honeymoon" suite, too.
