Since we had out vacancy at Popeyes Hotel, we also spent some time at the restaurant.
Wheter prices nor Menu are implicating you've been landed in a star citchen. The food is simple and yummi, the service really friendly and helpful so that we came up to a very good rate.
PS: Free Wi-Fi included.

We visited Caye Caulker on August 27th. After walking around, we stopped at this place. It was clean appearing and on the water, so there was a breeze.
We each ordered an omelette. Our servor was a polite young woman.
When the food arrived, my husband and I each took a bite of the food and looked at each other. UGH! Something was wrong. Tasted as though the grease used for cooking the eggs was rancid. Neither of us was willing to take another bite. UGH!
We caller the servor over and told her the food was bad. She called out the cook who came to our table. He spoke Spanish and we speak English.
We declined to eat that food.
The servor insisted we pay or she would have to pay. We reluctantly paid.
Food gross.
Place has no class.

My husband & I sat down at the restaurant on the beachfront to have breakfast & check email for our plans on Caye Caulker. There were many places along the beachfront but we chose this place for breakfast because it looked clean, friendly & they had 2 wifi connections. I am a considerate, friendly traveller & enjoy interacting with locals & learning more about the culture of the place I visit. I asked for their wifi password when we were given our menus and was directed to the main hotel steps away. After waiting a while, I politely asked those people if it was ok to interrupt their conversation for a quick question. 'Sure, go ahead.' I told them I was in the restaurant etc etc and they said there was a $4B fee for the internet all day. I asked for a smaller time period fee since I would only be there for breakfast. What happened next was so upsetting and frankly disgusting for people who work in the service industry. The gringo manager/owner yelled 'OUT' at me pointing to the door like I were a dog. "I'm sorry but that is unnecessary. I'm a customer of yours & I'm just trying to access the wifi (which has been free in places larger and smaller than this in the 6 central american countries I've travelled in the last 3 months)." I asked what other services they offer here as I was also planning to use the Internet to book scuba diving & sailing tours. "Nothing. No services here" he said angrily as he waved me away. I'm not a confrontational person. I'm polite & gentle mannered. This gringo guy just lost his temper at a very ordinary question and treated me like I was less than human. I raised my voice at him to tell him he was inappropriately rude and walked to the restaurant, by now uncharacteristically crying, to stop my husband ordering food here. I hate to think how this man treats his employees if he treats his customers like this.

PLEASE try Amanda's Place, Casa Lena, Dirty McNasty's to stay, Rose's, the split bar, la cubana or Amore y Cafe to eat, as THIS MAN is a horrible human being and doesn't deserve your money.

We had made a reservation for 12 for dinner. We got to the restaurant and had no table set up for us. We were the only ones eating that night.
The pig came with a buffet that was items like chicken necks and feet, rice, eggs that you can cook if you like a salad of tomatoes and lettuce and a few other items not worth mentioning.
Most all of the sides dishes were just filling the bottom of the pots or empty and the 12 of us left hungry and unhappy.
The pig looked great golden brown but it was for the most part just fat.
This is a restaurant you can skip.
