We stopped by Marin's because of a recommendation from our hotel owner, claiming that the food was good with great value. The prices were definitely very good, but this is a classic case of "you get what you pay for".
We ordered the chicken with rice and beans and a quesadilla. Everything on the chicken dish was bland, dry, and overcooked. The quesadilla was pretty much inedible because they just threw processed nacho cheese sauce on a tortilla, and it seemed like they just microwaved it because the tortilla did not taste cooked at all. I didn't think it was possible to mess up something as simple as a quesadilla, but they went beyond proving that. Very disappointed with the food, but we at least only paid BZ$15 for everything.
Service was also extremely slow, although we were warned that this would probably be the case. We did feel bad for the waitor though because he seemed to be doing double duty as the bartender as well and was the only one on staff.
