“Pretty view, ok food”
Reviewed July 20, 2013 via mobile

We had lunch here on the recommendation of one of our dive tours.
The restaurant is nice inside, with lovely views out over the sea. They had an extensive drink menu and a lot if food options too. It was a bit pricey, but comparable to other restaurants in Caye Caulker. Service was very good but the food (we had grilled fish and shrimp) was just okay. The tex-mex options looked like they might be better.

“Efficient and Reliable”
Reviewed July 17, 2013

We dined at Rainbow Grill three times during our two week visit, and had five children between two families. The dinners were always solid, and the service good. It skews a bit to the American palate, which was fine for traveling with American kids.

“Overpriced and average!”
Reviewed July 17, 2013

This place is not worth the visit. I ordered the fish which was over seasoned and over cooked. My partner ordered the fried chicken which was really bland (not exactly a home run for fried food).

The waiters were a bit rude as well which didn't help the dining experience.

The only positive, the view. Eat elsewhere, you will pay the same amount or less and have much better food!

“Okay.”
Reviewed July 14, 2013

We had the nachos, which came out fast but were cold. Then we tried the bbq shrimp sandwich and the fried chicken. Neither were amazing. The presentation was nice but the flavors were fairly bland. Good location, cool atmosphere, and nice fast service, though.

“OK food and blocked view”
Reviewed July 14, 2013

The wooden half walls block the terrific view. And the fish tacos and quesadillas were just average. Service was very slow too. Maybe it was the extremely hot weather and blocked by the half wall breezes, but I couldn't wait to get some air in the shade outside.

But Caye Caulker is a wonderful day trip from San Pedro to experience what San Pedro was like a decade ago. Drop into a local grocery to get a cold drink and Debbie Cooper's gallery to see her unique talents. The Mennonites north of San Pedro make her wooden frames.
