“Love this place!”
Reviewed March 30, 2014

Between the friendly and attentive servers, the laid-back, breezy atmosphere with a view of the sea, the sparkling clean restroom and delicious eats any time of day, this place has got it all covered. If you're looking for a perfectly made margarita and service with a genuine smile, request Randy as your server. What a great guy! Thanks for making our vacation even more fantastic...can't wait to stop in again next trip!

“Don't miss the pie!”
Reviewed March 26, 2014

If you are looking for a delicious local dessert while on Caye Caulker, try the coconut creamy pie at Tropical Paradise. It is amazing! We went back over and over during our stay on the island. The other food at TP is also very good. I especially liked the curried fish. The fish was very fresh and the curry not too spicy. I added a few shots of Marie Sharp's to mine as I like spark! Also, restroom facilities very clean.

“Avoid it like the pest! ”
Reviewed March 19, 2014 via mobile

The place seems fine and inviting enough, being situated right next to the local graveyard. Thus one has a 'great' view of tombstones while having food.

The food is average, with our jam having gone into fermentation.

What really makes the rating for this place so bad is the service. While happy and welcoming when we were still outside, all changed once we entered the establishment. We were a group of 9 people, so the staff stood around instead of helping to seat us. They then took our orders, bringing coffee without milk or sugar and forgetting us promptly afterwards. So one of us eventually got up, went to the kitchen and requested milk and sugar.

The food took forever to come (it was only us and another table, the place was empty, and we were only having breakfast). The orders were incomplete, our really friendly requests were acknowledged and then forgotten. All of us took turns to go to the kitchen and get the stuff the unfriendly staff forgot.

In short: there's many other good places on this island, there's no need to let them ruin your day.

“Yum!”
Reviewed March 16, 2014 via mobile

We stopped here as part of a snorkeling excursion that included lunch. I had the chicken burrito with salsa. It was very filling and the hand-made tortilla was delicious. The prices for their buckets of local beer and rum & coke from the bar were the cheapest we had found during our whole vacation. It was a very charming little restaurant!

“Bucket of Beers”
Reviewed March 6, 2014

We stopped here for three days in a row during the heat of the day to stay in the shade but have a view of the ocean. They have a nice 6 bucket of beers for $20 bz with chips and salsa. They also have a bottle of rum and 3 sodas. We tried that the third day, but were unable to get through half the bottle with only the three sodas so had to buy 3 more. Also it would have been nice if the chips and salsa were free refills. And you can take the drinks to go to, which is great!
