This was a great idea. It has a beautiful large deck in the back. You can enjoy the natural beauty of the lagoon. Good shots of wildlife. There were several trucks. Each one was serving very unique blends of popular foods and desserts. All the dining is open. We had allot of fun here.

We came here with our party of eight on 6/23. It was Lobster Fest night here and the food was incredible. I had the lobster tacos. The tacos was made fresh per order. Nico took real good care of us. The bartenders were amazing and got us our drinks pretty quickly. This place was packed and the bar was full of patrons. The drinks were delicious. There was music playing and the place also had an ice cream shop with delicious concoctions including lobster ice cream. This was the place to be on Thursday night for locals and tourists alike.

We stopped here because it was convenient when staying North. The drinks were cheap, but the food was a little pricey. $40 US for food for 3 from the Latin place. The corn cakes were relish, but the rest was nothing to write home about. Think we will make this a one time thing. Oh well. At least we tried it.

My family loved the super cool, hipster vibe of this dining area one mile north of the San Pedro bridge. Four shipping containers--one each for Latin food, Asian noodles, ice cream and a bar--are arranged in a semi-circle around several wooden picnic tables with golf cart parking out front. Located on the lagoon side of the island, there is a charming dock out back with places to eat, lights, and a hammock. Games are available in the beach area, but stay away from the water! There is a sign warning against possible crocodiles.

We liked the food so much we ate lunch here twice. I really appreciated the fact that there were a couple of gourmet vegetarian options: noodles with tofu at the Asian restaurant and fried eggplant patties at the Latin restaurant. Even though the Truck Stop has a street food sensibility, prices are more mid-range than cheap; thankfully, they take credit cards if you are a little low on Belizean cash. I thought the small scoop of ice cream for $3 was especially pricey, but it was definitely delicious, and by going to the Truck Stop we were able to avoid paying the $5 bridge toll to go get ice cream in town.

Check the chalkboard sign out front for different specials and daily activities. And be aware that the Truck Stop opens at 12 noon; the first day we showed up starving at 11:30 and had to wait for them to open. I just wish we had a Truck Stop in my hometown.
