This was our first time in Belize, normally opting for all-inclusives throughout Caribbean.

The grounds to this resort are beautiful. The staff is constantly at work keeping it that way. If you’re looking for a stunning beach, this wouldn’t be for you. A diver’s/snorkler’s paradise to be sure - but don’t expect the beaches of Jamaica.

We rented a golf cart for the week to get back and forth to San Pedro. This resort is on the north end of island and about a 20 minute golf cart ride away. The cart worked out well. Price for cart from resort inline with carts in town.

There is a pool bar that’s open until about 7:00 (depends on business volume) as well as a bar upstairs in the on-site restaurant. Top shelf liquors available. The restaurant was okay - nothing to write home about - serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. It could use some atmosphere. We opted for going into town most days for meals or making simple meals in the well-stocked, full kitchens.... all you provide are the groceries. They also provide bottled water. A guy bikes by daily selling fresh shrimp, lobster, etc.

There are many supermarkets and liquor stores. Be warned, they are VERY expensive. OMG. We weren’t prepared for that.

I can confidently say that the staff is the BEST, bar none. Each and every one of them went out of their way to greet everyone and were friendly as all get out. I thought I had met some great staff at other Caribbean resorts, but they don’t come close to these wonderful people. A new bar has been set!!

Thanks for sharing your review! We are delighted to know that you enjoyed your stay with us and that our friendly staff was a highlight. It is true that imported goods such as alcohol and US brand name foods are expensive. If price is a concern, choose from the variety of local liquor and snacks, or buy duty-free in the airport upon arrival. Grocery shopping is quite affordable if you shift your purchases to local goods instead of packaging that may be familiar from home.

rewarding ideal for diving and snorkeling beautiful belize you have a beautiful destination that is worthwhile you should make sure of the tour operators that are diverse for comfort and your stay in the place, nice to be part of the customs and traditions to get out of the routine and appreciate its diversity of flora and fauna submerged in the beach.

We had a great time at this resort. This was our first time to San Pedro. We like to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle. If you enjoy the same - staying on the North part of the island at Belizean shores is for you! We had an end unit 1C! IT WAS AWESOME to see the sunrise every morning and it was very quiet. They have great customer service. If you need assistance, they are ON IT! The pool is great! They have hammocks throughout, tennis court, ping pong, volleyball and more. The restaurant is ok and the staff was very kind. The grounds are very well kept and everyone is so nice and helpful. I would not rent a golf cart if going into town. We found it to be very helpful and less stressful to take the water taxi. It is $5 pp ea wy. They will make the reservation for you and give you a schedule in the office. It takes less than 10 minutes and you are downtown. No need to worry about parking and the restaurants and shops are great! Walking around town is safer during the day but would not feel comfortable walking at night.

Room tip: 1C was a great location and unit.

My husband and I stayed here for 10 days early January and loved it. We like to explore so the location was great! Not too far from town and the road was finished (cement) up to the resort so it was a quick trip in. We also went north to Secret beach and Rocky Point. The grounds are immaculate and they're constantly working on them. They tiled in front of the pool and most of the dock while we were there. Barry and John at the pool bar were great (thanks for the Painkiller special of the day! :)). Golf cart rental there was really convenient! We'll definitely be back here!

Room tip: We were in 2C. Lovely view! It looks like they would all be good views though the way they're positioned.

Our 4-person family (two teenage kids) stayed during the last week of 2017 in a suite with a loft. The resort is 3.5 miles out of San Pedro. You need to rent a pricey golf cart to get to town. The resort is very tropical and well appointed. The pool is excellent with many shade and water options. Service for food and housekeeping was very responsive. The side wall next to the loft room, while being solid concrete, carried the noise from the neighbor apartment like it was made of paper. Bring your bug spray; we were eaten up by gnats or midges or whatever they call small biting flies. The on-site restaurant was a solid option but the up-scale restaurant at their sister hotel Cocoa is overpriced and underserviced. Stay away from that. All in all we felt the property provided solid value.
