This place doesn't look like much from the street. It is an open front restaurant with a woman making pupusas out front. Don't walk past it. Stop in for a beer or rum punch, ceviche and a pupusa. I have been to San Pedro five times and stop in at least once per trip if not more. You will see locals ordering pupusas from the street which is a good indication that this place is worth a stop.

This place is not fancy, but it's a sure bet for some cheap eats! Be sure to try the Pupusas! So yummy and so affordable. Splurging on beachside dinners? Try this for lunch.

The staff is very nice and attentive. We had a large group and this tiny place did us right.

I can't imagine being in San Pedro and not visiting each of the two "battling" pupusa restaurants in town! One may think that picking one over the other is a critical decision, but fear not. BOTH are strong contenders for the best budget meal you will enjoy in San Pedro!

Enjoy great pupusas.. cold drinks.. and attentive service. Just go with it and be happy!

Pupuseria Tipico Salvadoreno is amazing, fresh, beautiful food. Don't make the mistake and go across the street which is also a restaurant called pupuseria. Ask for the owner and cook Sarah. What a lovely woman with a heart for great food. I had her stewed chicken with coconut rice and give it a 10 out of 10. Others is my group had the 1/2 lobster burrito and a lobster quesadilla which were also amazing. I asked for fried plantain bananas on the side and she gave me a plate for all of us that was incredible. Great prices and great food with friendly people that will make your meal a memory.

We had a great meal here at the Pupuseria. We had a group of 8 that had an easy time ordering. The food was a great deal for our team that was here on a mission trip. It was a great opportunity to try authentic food at a good price. We will be back! The combo pupusa with pork, beans and cheese was the best!
