“Delicious and Inexpensive”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 13, 2014

This is a steal. My wife and I enjoyed several differebnt types of puposas with slaw. They were great. The service is excellent. We had so much fun and the cost was very low. We highly recommend this place!

“phenominal soups and burritos !!!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 31, 2014

This casual restaurant is popular with both locals and tourists. One day we stopped in for lunch and split a Lobster burrito ($26Bz). I have never seen a burrito so large, it was h u g e. Apparently it contains a half pound of lobster meat, including a tail that sits atop the burrito. Another day we shared a bowl of their seafood soup and split another huge burrito, this time shrimp $24Bz (see picture). The seafood soup was absolutely incredible! There are lots of shrimp, conch, and fish (snapper), with finely diced vegetables (zucchini, bell peppers, carrots, tomato, and onions) in a delicious coconut milk broth garnished with cilantro ($30Bz). We enjoyed the shrimp burrito more than the lobster burrito, but that may be because we are from Nova Scotia, and Mediterranean lobster does not compare to Nova Scotia lobster. On our third visit we shared a bowl of their fish soup ($23Bz) which is listed on the board at the back of the restaurant, but not on the menu. While we enjoyed the fish soup even more than the seafood soup, both were excellent. Though hugely popular, I wasn't fond of their pupusas. They also serve fresh fruit juices. The restaurant is located on Pescador Dr, aka Middle Street, next to Big Tree grocery. This was our favourite restaurant in San Pedro !

“Terrific Conch Salad”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 30, 2014

We ordered conch salad (being lovers of all things conch), and got a HUGE portion, which was fresh, nicely seasoned, and had tons of tender conch.

“Our favorite meal in Belize!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 27, 2014

It's cold and rainy in Chicago, and we've been home from Belize for a few days. Right now, I'd give anything to be sitting at Pupuseria Tipico, drinking a fresh watermelon juice and eating a "mixed" pupusa with that delicious cabbage slaw.

We ate A LOT of great food on Amergris Caye, but this place is what we will all remember years from now. We ate our first and last meals on the island there, and all four of my family members LOVED it.

It's located on Middle St. in downtown San Pedro. Just look for the hot pink restaurant and the lovely woman flipping pupusas (griddled tortilla cakes filled with all kinds of yummy stuff). The restaurant across the street is very similar, but we didn't like it nearly as much.

Highlights were the pupusas, the ceviche (which was the best I've ever had), the fresh juices, the mixed drinks, and the lobster burrito!

The atmosphere isn't fancy, but the service is FANTASTIC. This place will win you over--I promise!

“Great deal here”

Took our boat captain out for dinner and he pointed us to this spot. Delicious garlic butter fish and great service for way less than other places weve eaten. Ill be coming back.
