“Self guided Marco tour”
Reviewed December 31, 2012

We trekked out on our own to check it out - I think if we had more heads up we would have enjoyed it more. It's a 1/4 mile hike but it's on wooden planks through a marsh - hot and buggy which we weren't prepared for. They aren't excavated which didn't matter much to us, we were still fascinated, but we certainly rushed it due to the lack of bugspray.

“Better with a guide”
Reviewed December 29, 2012

We lucked out and latched on to a guide which helped decipher what we were looking at. Not much to see but a great story.

“Mayan site”
Reviewed December 25, 2012

The site is new and has had significant looting. Needs to be left alone until fully excavated and protected by professionals.

A rainforest enviorment, you NEED bug spray. This site was excavated, and not alot to see, but signs and explanations were extensive.

“History lesson , not much to see.”
Reviewed December 11, 2012

Don't expect to see a Mayan temple and don't go there alone. There are guides to take you there and tell you what was there before. Bring gooid repellant for " no see ums ".
