“Felt like we were visiting friends”

This was our first trip to Belize, and considered other hotel options, but were very glad we chose Changes.....everything we needed was there, and it is small enough to feel like you are staying with family. (but not the relatives you hate!) In fact, we ended up socializing with all the other guests there and made some great new friends. The amenities are great, we had everything we needed. The owners are very friendly and knowledgeable about the area, and scheduled several trips for us. The rates we paid were the ones advertised, so I don't think they upcharge at all. We will most definitly be back!!!

We stayed a week, with two teenagers (ages 16 and 14), and rented 2 rooms. I won’t repeat all the good things in the other reviews, because they are all true! Our kids loved the place, especially the beautiful pool right next door. Renita and Cindy were readily available at most times of the day, and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Their warmth and hospitality really made us feel like we were visiting family. Thanks for a great trip!

We have just returned from 11 fantastic days in San Pedro, staying at Changes in Latitudes. To say that everything was perfect would be boring, so I'll mention that we did have a ten minute rain shower one afternoon. Cindy and Renita, the owners of CIL, are wonderful hostesses and can make anything you want to do, happen. Snorkel, fish, visit ruins - they will arrange everything. They are a wealth of information and work very hard to make sure you have a wonderful time. The property is very attractive with a private courtyard that guests gravitate to at night to recap the day's activities. The 6 guest rooms are spotless and individually decorated with local motifs. A wide variety of restaurants and shops are within easy walking distance, and the pool is just a few steps away next door. Add the fact that you are served a different, fantastic breakfast everyday and you'll understand why we consider Changes in Latitudes 'a little bit of heaven'. We can't wait to go back!

Book now! Cindy & Renita make you feel instantly at home, and their sweeping hospitality makes all the inn's guests feel and act like family. (The good kind, not the annoying ones.) As others note, they will arrange tours, trips, and the like and bill your room. Contrary to one comment here, my bill for, e.g., a Blue Hole dive tour was less than the price I saw posted at the tour operator's location. They seem to know everyone on and everything about the island, and are tireless in keeping their guests entertained and enjoying their time to the fullest. My son and I had a great week of diving, fishing, and seeing the sites, all as recommended by Cindy & Renita. They truly go above and beyond to make their guests' experiences memorable. My only hesitation in endorsing CIL is that I may not be able to book a room there next time I want to go!

My boyfriend and I just returned from spending 4 days at this awesome B&B. The owners Renita and Cindy go out of their way to make you feel at home. They will stock water and beer in the fridge for you (at cost) and are up every morning making deliciously sinful breakfasts! True, the rooms are small but with a great pool with a swim up bar, snorkeling, hammocks in the shade, happy hour in the garden in the afternoon, and a sandy beach nearby we never spent any time in our room. Also, I can’t stress enough how nice the location is. The B&B is just outside of town – close enough to walk/ride bikes without overheating in the hot sun or having to pay for a taxi. We had a great time – Thanks Renita and Cindy - We will definitely be back ! :)

<I was really surprised when I read ShelbyCOFinest’s review below. We were quoted a price to dive the Blue Hole and it ended up being cheaper (which was clearly marked on our check out bill).>

Cindy and Renita have a great place. The daily breakfast was awesome and an evening happy hour was a nice delight. Note that the rooms are
much smaller than we expected and the pool is not actually on premises - however the price is right! One word of caution: be sure to clearly discuss all rates for services and amenities up front with the hostesses. You may be told that you’re getting the best rate
but come to find out this property up charges provisions and services. Just be sure to have actual pricing quoted so there is not surprise at check out.

latitudesbelize, B&B Reply at Changes In Latitudes Bed and Breakfast, responded to this review, April 29, 2007
ShelbyCOFinest is mistaken, the B&B doesn't up charge on any tours, fishing, snorkeling, etc. In the "things to do" book we post the highest vendor prices and then if we book guest with lesser priced vendors we show the discount on the bill upon check out. There are two/three great vendors who do most of the tours. And not all days to all vendors offer trips. We post the trips as they are offered and sometimes this means it is the lowest prices vendor and sometimes it’s the highest prices vendors.. Therefore this guest is mistaken. Also note we e-mailed this guest via this review venue and offered them the opportunity to explain further so we could review their billing and correct if needed and they have not replied. We don't up charge; we only pass the vendor prices along to the guest. Some vendors charge more than others for the same exact tours. We feel badly that this guest felt otherwise and we will always welcome the opportunity to correct matters such as these.

Changes in Latitudes..... it's a great place to stay. Cindy and Renita (the owners) are really nice and will go out of their way to book anything you want to do. Their breakfasts are yummy as well. Sinful breakfasts such as chocolate waffles (picture chocolate brownie for breakfast!) and local favorites like granachas (tostada thingie) make it a super deal. There's even wet storage (who would have thought?) for your snorkle gear, bathing suits, towels, whatever so your wet stuff can dry. There's not a pool on site but you just have to hop across the driveway and you're at a really nice pool with a swim up bar and internet access! Seriously, what more can you need? The rooms are clean and comfy and the owners are around and hang out to chat sometimes. I really felt like I was a guest in their own home and if I needed anything all I had to do was ask. I'll definately be going back the next trip to Belize.
