San Pedro was absolutely beautiful and the staff at Ramon's was helpful and friendly. Lovely rooms, food average at the hotel, but amazing if you left. Overall great trip -- except that the owner and another employee both handed me pamphlets disguesed as "have a good flight" and "hope you enjoyed your stay" on the outside, then inside religious fanatism preaching everything against fornication, heathens, sins and basphemy and a myriad of zealotry material. Absolutely innapropriate and the manipulative method of delivery really disturbing. I was completely offended and ultimately left an extremely negative impression on me. I didnt come to Belize to be preached to about sin and certainly wouldnt take that material if it had been properly labeled.

Ramon's picked us up in a golf cart from the airport when we arrived and dropped us off at the ferry when we left. We reserved and paid for a beachside cabin, but when we arrived they gave us a beachfront cabin. Ramon’s fit everything into the room; refrigerator, safe, clock radio, coffee maker, ceiling fan, AC and comfortable bed (but not TV). There were no signs that they ever had a fire there - everything looked like it was back to normal. They had free wifi. Our cabin was closest to the admin / restaurant area and we could pick up wifi from the edge of our lanai, but not from the rest of our room. Maxwell house coffee in room and restaurant – they could use a better (ie Belize) coffee. They had a roving security guard. Guys cleaned the sea grass off the beach several times a day. The resort restaurant had the best waiters. Tell Jack what state you are from and he’ll tell you the capital, football team, etc. Signing out for beach towels worked out great. Sellers walk up and down the beach pitching their goods, but they are not pushy. Be aware of their boat excursion system before hand. If you sign up for a trip and show up at the assigned time – the boat may still not go unless the minimum number of people show up. People showed up at departure time, expecting to go on a trip and were told the trip is cancelled because not enough people showed up (even though enough had signed up). One day a catamaran trip was cancelled because 6 people minimum did not show up, and yet the next day they sailed with 27 people (28 was maximum). Their outboard motor boats are fast, twin 200hp engines. Swimming was confined to close to the beach were the water is free of sea grass and motor boat traffic, or in the roped off area at the end of the pier. We left the lanai door open during the day when we were in our room and we never had any bug problems, day or night. Rooms had a water cooler thermos, I figured out it was so you could mix your own rum and punch and bring it onto the beach. Supermarkets are plentiful and sell beer and booze.

This was by far the most relaxing and pampered vacations we've had. The resort was top notch in cleanliness, convenience, accommodations and attentive and friendly staff. Every comfort was available which made the vacation even more relaxing. We toured the island and didn't see any other place to compare with Ramon's Village Resort. The owner Richard and former owner Ramon treated us like family. The waitstaff and other employees did the same.
I would go back here in a minute and enjoy every minute of it.

Room Tip: Rooms directly on the beach are nice but a tiny bit noisy from all the beach traffic. Nothing too pr...

Wow, that really about sums it up. The first day was a little hard, we had just some from an all inclusive and felt like everyone was maybe not at our beck and call. Kind of spoiled. But that thought soon past. We stayed in a beach front, so every day we had the most beautiful views. We highly recommend any of the adventures and Pineapple's restaurant is wonderful. We rented a golf cart and strolled the island, lots of fun. Even though our room was really a 4 plex, we never met our neighbors until the last night on the island. Each room is cozy and inviting, with a great deck to relax and read on.
We are planning our next vacation as we speak. Richard and Gina, we enjoyed meeting you and enjoyed your wonderful southern hospitality!

Room Tip: We stayed in 120, but it sounded like even if you did not have an ocean view, the rooms and views we...

We stayed at Ramon's for an entire week vacationing with family. The staff here is exceptional and the resort is absolutely beautiful. Rent a golf cart when you are on the island and explore.
Loved the Myan Ruin adventure to Lamania and snorkling with the sharks and rays.

Room Tip: You can hear the noise from the street in the rooms in the back. Get a room on the ocean if you can.

Excellent service at the front desk and at the Pineapple restaurant. Good food at the restaurant. Good location! Lots of vegetation on the site makes it very cosy and relax! Direct access to the beach and divers shop. Would go back there anytimes!

Where do I begin?! The accommodations were great. Highly recommend and anxious to return! We were surprised there was no tv in the room but we never missed it! We were also surprised how quiet it was. Ramon's is so close to the airport but we were never disturbed by the flights. We were in one of the jungle cabanas with a lovely deck. We were not facing the water but could see the beach from a short distance. We enjoyed breakfast with "Ramon" himself one morning and it was delightful to hear his story. We treated like family during our entire visit and on first name basis with the entire staff and we were only there a few days!

Room Tip: We were very comfortable in room 132. No noise from street or from the beach. Sitting on our deck we...
