Hotel management was superior, had issues that delayed out trip, half the group got there on time and the hotel staff went above and beyond to make sure we w ere able to get there also! Clean and relaxing from the bar staff, massage therapist, dive shop staff, waiters and housekeeping! Not a single complaint!! Very happy with the stay, the adventures, the prices...Absolutely do the marine park snorkel! You will see everything you see diving and MORE! The manta rays get close enough to make you cringe!! Nurse sharks everywhere and even sea turtles! The "puddle jumper" planes to get to Ambergis Caye were fun!! I felt like I was going to "Fantasy Island!"

Room Tip: All rooms we saw were lovely, the birds are loud! I was perplexed with why there were earplugs with...

My wife and I recently celebrated our 10 year anniversary at Ramon's Village. We had read the good reviews and we were not let down by the beautiful resort and facilities. The staff
are extremely friendly and accommodating ( most of the staff had us on a first name basis). The beach was easily the best one we saw. It was raked daily, the room was quite unique yet very nice with the thatch roof. It seems to be a huge destination for scuba divers which my wife and I are not, but we did book a snorkeling trip through Ramon's dive shop and it was incredible. Definitely go to Hol Chan park and Shark Alley, great value! Ramon himself greeted us and sat down with us on 2 occasions and he really was great to visit with, he has really built a great place to visit. My only reservation about Ramon's was their bar, while the servers (Ron and Kadel) were awesome, the bartender really struggled to make good drinks and they were overpriced. Outside of that, I would still go back and visit again sometime.

They will lie about their rooms. Stay on the 2nd floor of a beachfront or not at all. Preferably, not at all! Definitely an overpriced tourist trap! The food was also 2nd rate. I don't know how they rate themselves but it is way too high!

My daughter and I had a wonderful, relaxing one week stay at Ramon's Village from Feb 26-March 6, 2014.
Although we had planned to stay at another property in San Pedro, it proved unacceptable. And with very short notice, Lester and Robert at the front desk welcomed us to Ramon's Village and made every effort to accommodate us for our 8 night stay even though it required some juggling and room changes. We found both Lester and Robert to be professional, patient and good humored.
The servers in the restaurant were genial, friendly and helpful. We loved the overall atmosphere and enjoyed the beauty of the plush, well-kept grounds. We feel fortunate to have found Ramon's Village after our disappointing initial experience.
We would definitely return to Ramon's Village, should we return to Ambergris Caye. And we would highly recommend it to our friends.

Ramon's offers beautiful accommodations right on the beach. Our room was a second story suite looking out over the water. It was very large, clean, comfortable and well furnished. Ramon's offers an onsite restaurant, bar, gift shop, dive shop and pool. Staff was all friendly and helpful. The beach isn't the greatest for swimming, but there is snorkeling available right off the end of the pier. There are numerous places to visit in walking distance. Several restaurants, stores, banks and the airport are nearby. If you are used to an all inclusive resort, this will be quite a change for you, but an adventure too.

Ramon's offers beautiful new cabanas since the fire in August - it's hard to imagine that that happened so recently. The beach is among the best on the island with a private dive shop and tour guide (Rick), who clearly loves the work he does. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The only drawback was the ongoing piped-in Caribbean music throughout the resort, which distracted a bit from the beauty of the place. We would definitely recommend Ramon's to friends who are looking for an upscale resort.

Ramon's is a first class Resort. The management and staff was warm and welcoming from check-in to check-out. Lester and Carlos were very helpful. Our beachside waiter, Ron, was so personable and friendly. He made several suggestions to try and he was spot-on. The restaurant, Pineapples, was wonderful! Edwin is a great waiter.
The new landscaping is incredible. The rooms seem even more private than they were before the fire. You are provided a water cooler and ice at all times. The scuba/snorkel/activity dock is right in front of the resort. The resort location is also very convenient to town and the airstrip.
The only negative I can give, is that the bathroom is open air and not very private.

Room Tip: The balconies are really nice, but some casitas connect to another room. Ask for a single casita to...
