AMBERGRIS CAYE- BELIZE, is the most wonderful place to visit, we just got back, went on November 3 stay short trip but we will diffently go back. Stayed at Ramon's Village, so very peaceful and right in the middle of everything you might want to do, close to town, you can actually just walk down the beach to downtown on the way there are occassional street vendor and diving trips available and the local string ray and his small one, who hang out by the dock, the Hotel has the nicest staff you could ask for, we never had to ask for anything they were right there handy and knew what you needed, and happy people, it wasn't an act, they were really good people, it made you feel like your were apart of their family, so comfortable, and you can get all your diving done right there too, we had a great dive master he was so knowledge-able of the area and went over every detail left nothing out, marine life there is so abundant a diver could not ask for more. To top that off, you only go out on the boat about 10 minutes to the site if that long, now going out to the blue hole that's another story its a day trip i belive, that is one thing we did not do this trip. Hope you get to experience it , you will diffently put it on your top list of trips in your life time!

Room Tip: we stayed in first building off the office, right on the beach, down right beautiful

As part of a medical/dental mission group we have been traveling to San Pedro to work for many years. We dine at various restaurants all over the island. Ramon's restaurant, Pineapples, served us a bountiful buffet with food and service that was superior to most places. The setting is tropical and exotic-right on the beach. Although Ramon's Village is conveniently situated on the main road, the resort and restaurant are a wonderful surprise once you enter through their winding paths. It's private secluded spaces allow their guests to enjoy their visit without feeling intruded on by other guests. We shall definitely return to Ramon's next year.

The only bad experience we had during our Belize trip was with Ramon's. We had set up a dive/snorkel trip to Hol Chan and Shark Ray Alley and they were to pick us up at the dock in front of the place we were staying to take us out. We were at the dock early and waited over an hour and they never showed up. Bummer.

My husband and I traveled to Belize for the first time in October 2011 and stayed at Ramon's Village. What a great place for scuba divers to stay. The dive shop was a step from our beach front room and there were lockers to leave your dive gear locked up over night. We had a great time diving. Thank you Rick, Will, and Eric for a wonderful dive vacation. The staff at the resort was so nice to us. It is always refreshing to stay at a place where you feel welcomed throughout your stay. I cannot think of a better place to relax after a day of diving then in the comfortable chairs, hammocks, or at the parrot bar (thank you Alex and Karim for all of out drinks). Although it was the off-season the dive shop went out of their way to set us up with trips. The most memorable thing about the resort after diving and the view was the staff - they made our experience memorable and enjoyable. Thank you and we look forward to another stay in the near future!

Room Tip: The airport noise while we were there was really not noticeable. The additional money for a basic b...

Nothing like a freshly picked green coconut and a straw over looking the barrier reef in Belize but how about a Pineapple Restaurant at Ramon's Village Resort? Extra specail menu, extra special people and I can't think of a better location in San Pedro. The menu is truly a mix of great local flavor with an international fusion. One of the specials I tried was a lunch burrito that took up my entire plate.....I've seen people pat tortillas but how did they make them so big.

Fresh Lobster tail and fish everyday! Truly a treat but then I had to jog the beach to work it off. Thanks Ramons and thanks Pineapples!

Room Tip: The Villa #1...right on the beach.

My Daughter was married at Ramons. the wedding party stayed there and next door at the villas, and frankly everyone loved them both. The villas has larger rooms, Ramons has the cool little huts, activities booked with Ramons were great.
I recommend them both.

Ramon's came to our rescue after booking at Exotic Caye Beach Resort and being very disappointed. We decided to talk to some locals about some other hotel options and pretty much everybody said Ramon's was the best, and had the best beach. They were right! Almost every beach for every other resort had tall sea grass in the water, way too much to be able to swim in. Ramon had a nice clear ocean with no sea grass. When we decided to book with them, we went to the reservation desk and they had numerous specials going on at the time, we were able to book a beach front suite for a great price. Ramon's location is superb - very close to town and all the best restaurants and shops and also very near to the best supermarket on the island.
The room was great, much more updated and clean than what we experienced at Exotic. The suite had a kitchenetter with coffee maker, and fridge. They have room service, a restaurant on location with a bar. The prices were reasonable and the breakfast was delicious. For lunch and dinner we usually went out to other places in town. They also had a pool which was great, hammocks on the beach, plenty of lounge chairs by the beach and surrounding the pool. The grounds were beautiful and the walkways were sand, but not so much soft sand that you'd get your nice shoes all messed up while leaving the resort for dinner, etc. Overall our stay was great and we were so happy to have chose Ramon's! The only things that weren't to my liking was the fact that none of the rooms have a tv (except for the executive and honeymoons suites, according to the front desk) and there was no iron or ironing board, so we'd have to request it and then iron our clothes on the bed. Also, since we visited during the slow season (and I'm assuming soccer/futbol season, many times when we'd order drinks at the bar and hang by the pool, nobody would come to take another order because the staff was surrounding the tv watching soccer, so we'd have to get up and reorder. If it weren't for those things, I would have rated them 5 star. We will definitely choose Ramon's for our next trip to San Pedro! We'd also definitely come back in the fall or winter when there are less mosquitos!

Room Tip: We stayed in a junior suite on the beachfront which was nice, but very close to the restaurant/bar s...
