I stayed at Victoria House for 3 days and it was just amazing. I stayed in a thatched roof Casita with views of the ocean. This is a small, private resort that is rich in amenities. The staff is friendly, professional, attentive but unobtrusive. The restaurant food is incredible, based in locally found, traditional foods with a gourmet flair. There are so many things to do here. Drive around San Pedro in a golf cart, shopping. You absolutely must take a snorkel trip, the reef and fish are abundant and healthy. Small groups of people, not touristized and the water is perfectly warm and clear. You can arrange any number of water adventures in the "fantasea shop". Luis will hook you up.
Some suggestions are bring your own mosquito spray such as "off" and "Raid" they will help keep your attack by the local mosquitos to a minimum. Also keep in mind that there are no televisions or phones in the rooms or on property. There is however cell phone reception and free wifi that was not the strongest but it worked. Also I stayed in a Casita, I was alone so the bed was fine, but if I had to share that bed I would have found it small. Talk with the management about what rooms would suit your needs.
Take your sunscreen, great books, sense of adventure and enjoy!More
