You'll never stop thinking about the amazing things you've seen at Hol Chan. There's nothing we saw diving off Ambergris Caye (or anywhere else in the world!) that we didn't see snorkeling here. (Top pick: a green moray eel. So wild looking!) You won't be alone, but this wasn't hugely bothersome (we were there in the slow season). We went back two days in a row. Don't miss it!

If you only do one trip do this one, such a great experience, clear waters, great guide, courtesy of Serious Adventures. Refreshments provided, good equipment and safety advice, just imagine touching a big sea turtle and fish, staring at a shark. Loved it!

You'll definitely feel like a tourist at on this trip, but it's still well worth it. There are a lot of people at Ho Chan; you'll be snorkeling in a crowd. But, that's not really a problem. You'll see an incredible array of marine life, including: eels, tropical fish, nurse sharks, and rays. We snorkeled at two other locations off of Ambergris. Hol Chan was easily our favorite. The sea life was so good that the crowds weren't really a problem.

This was our favorite excursion while in Belize. We were staying at Pelican Reef Villas so it was a very quick boat ride (about 10 minutes) after being picked up from our pier. The guides were fantastic at explaining everything and making sure we saw all that was there. Eels, nurse sharks, rays, corals, and much more...FANTASTIC!
