We had a great time swimming with the sharks! It was a once in a lifetime opportunity that we were fortunate to experience.

Saw lots of Green Turtles, tropical fishes, sharks, and all sorts of coral. It's a rich place to be to see wildlife. My only suggestion is if I had to do it again, I would never ever snorkel there with a group, I would go right into a Snuba Tour. There were so many groups snorkeling in the water, I felt claustrophobic at times, which I never thought was possible in an ocean. Snuba allows you to stay down toward the bottom and not deal with the crowds!!!!

Best place for snorkeling altough there were divers there too. Wide variety of sea life to see from fish and sea turtles to morray eels, rays and nurse sharks. The day we went, it was a bit overcast and windy but the water was still warm. Standard fee of $45 per person from any of the tour boats. We took the glass bottom boat so the younger kids in our group who didn't want to snorkel could still see what was under the water. There are lots of other tour boats there with groups of the snorkelers / divers as well as the marine reserve rangers. You have a guide and you do have to stay with your guide. They require that to protect the reef system. We also visited Shark Ray Ally on this trip.

The area can be a bit congested, going in early am or late day seemed the best. Saw a lot of nurse sharks and stingray plus a barracuda, tang fish, groupers, others... was fun!!!

We had an amazing opportunity to go to Hol Chan. The sea life we were able to see was nothing like we have ever experienced well worth snorkeling or diving. We went with Inland Adventure (excellent tour company).
