Our guide from the resort, Charlie, was awesome and very informative. He made sure we were all safe and comfortable in the water. We saw lots of fish, nurse sharks, and sea turtles. Charlie even held a nurse shark and we got to pet it. Do it!

I worry about what all the tourists are doing to the environment. There were so many people I think we scared some fish away. And our snorkel guide allowed us to pet a shark and sting ray - is that good for them? I don't know. Also, the snorkel guide fed the sharks so they would come. Doesn't that teach them to not hunt for themselves?

Spectacular, simply spectacular. Close to San Pedro, clear water. Loved it!

Even though it was overcast and started to rain we still got to swim with and even feel both the sting rays and the nurse sharks! We opted for the afternoon (2pm) tour, but altering visiting Hol Chan first, probably didn't even arrive until after 3pm. We would definitely recommend going on an earlier tour as the sharks and rays have been feeding all day and am assuming are not as active and eager later on.

We did an early morning snorkel tour with just six people in our group. We checked in with the Park Ranger boat and moored at the southern edge of the group of about eight boats. Our guide led us in a large loop around the reef and cut. He was very good about explaining and identifying everything we saw. And we saw lots! Various corals, Angle fish, large grouper, jacks, turtles, a big barracuda, rays and a large green moray eel. The water was warm and clear with not too much current. It was interesting to swim over the cut and see divers below us. We also stopped at Shark Ray alley and had a chance to snorkel with the nurse sharks and see many rays. Altogether a great experience! Don't forget your camera!
