“Fun experience - even for Adults”
Reviewed April 26, 2014

I went on this trip March 2014 with a friend and her 10 year old. It was so much fun and super informative. Just the stars and being on the water at night was relaxing and interesting. I highly recommend anyone with kids to do this while vacationing on Ambergris Caye. The guides were so knowledgeable and answered all questions. We didn't catch a croc that night but still got to hold a little one.

You got to hold Tiny Tim didn't you...? You've just got to love Tiny Tim!!! Isn't he the cutest little bugger!!

I'm glad you guys had a good time. I know it can be a little disappointing not to catch one.. but that's hunting for you. I hope Tiny made up for it.
It's great that you enjoyed the education, adults and kids alike, we really try to gear it towards everyone on boards so that everyone understands.

Thanks for taking the time to do us a lovely review, and thank you again for coming.

Regards

“Amazing Experience”
Reviewed April 24, 2014

My family and I have been out on the Croc Tour several times over the last few years and it never disappoints. We've had several quite different experiences but never a dull moment. Our first time out Vince was in and out of the boat multiple times to hand catch crocs for the ACES research program. At one point Vince disappeared under the water and popped up with the tail of a 6 footer! The second trip was less dramatic but Chris and Vince took the time to give us loads of fun facts about this endangered animal.

Highly recommend this if you're into wildlife or just need a break from the bar scene.

One of the things we tell people who join our excursion, is that every trip is different. We're hunting wildlife, and no two hunting trips are the same. As you saw first hand, some nights we chase bigguns, other nights, just little guys. Some nights we catch, some nights we don't. Either way, I guess you must like it as you keep coming back!! :) You've done it a few times now, so next time you come back, I'll be quizzing you.... I want to see how much you remember!!

Thanks for the great review Jason. I'm sure I'll see you again soon.

Regards

“absolutely a must - so much fun and so educational and a good cause”
Reviewed April 21, 2014

This was a tremendous educational and interactive adventure.

On the evening we went we spotted 2 crocs and were able to bring 1 of them into the boat for exploration, measuring and review. It was a 9 month old that they had captured once before.

Chris is a great guy and does a phenomenal job guiding. On our night we had the pleasure of Miriam the ACES 2 month intern doing the lead and she was awesome...especially the way she jumped into the water in the pitch black and snagged the croc a 100 yards away.

Everyone on the tour got to hold and touch the crocs and my daughter was able to do the release back into the water.

A bonus of the trip is star gazing on a clear night....it is absolutely beautiful.

Overall this was a great excursion for a good cause and we had a phenomenal experience.

Hi Chris, thanks for the review. I hope the kids had a great time. I really try to gear the trip towards the kids when they're on board to get them as excited about crocs as I am!!

I was really happy to catch that croc. Catching a new one is great, but the repeat data on him is fantastic too. I was surprised by how far he'd travelled, which is proving our theories that the little ones don't all stay in one spot, most of them are moving around.

Thanks again for coming, and thnaks for taking the time to do us an awesome review. That helps us out a great deal.

Regards

Highly recommend making this a part of your trip. It was legitimately educational, thrillingly fun, and to the direct benefit of the local environment -- a rare combination.

“Great for kids!”

On the night we took our tour we did catch and relocate one croc to a less populated spot. The evening was fun and educational. I would highly recommend it.
