We had a great time at Elvi's. Service was prompt and food tremendous. You should try Belizean tacos which are Fry Jacks stuffed with chicken and cole slaw. Fried chicken was ok (hard to please a Southerner). Conch fritters were just right with a spicy tartar sauce.

Just got off a ferry from Belize City and were walking downtown trying to find a place for dinner and found Elvi's Kitchen. It was delicious and they had the best homemade rolls. Seafood was amazing and fresh. Had a great variety for our group of 10.

I went to Elvi's years ago and was really underwhelmed so I never went back. We come to the island nearly every year and with all of the great new restaurants that pop up we never thought to venture to Elvi's and give them a try again. However when the restaurant we planned to go to was closed I asked a local guy about where to eat and he suggested Elvi's. What a stroke of luck! It was one of the best meals we had all week! Better than Victoria House even! I had the seafood curry which was amazing! Friends had different tacos and were just fantastic. We will absolutely go back next year! Don't miss it! Vastly improved over the last few years!

There tonight for dinner, waited about 20 minutes for our drinks. about 30 minutes for our two tiny rolls, and 1 hour for our dinner.
Not worth the wait. Maybe we were not lucky, but the portion was small and some what pricy. .
wont be back and wont recommend.

You can't tell a book by the cover. We weren't sure we were going to like this place as we entered it, but inside they have a very beachy vibe going. An outgoing server, several rum drinks and Bellikins later and we were definitely sure we had made the right choice. We had the blackened fish, the roasted garlic and Chipotle fish, roasted shrimped (the best) and several other dishes. All the food was excellent!
