Only had breakfast here and we tried the fish omelette with fry jacks which was really good. The fry jacks were perfectly fried and the omelette was quite good. The huevos rancheros was really a disappointment. The sauce on top shouldn't be called a ranchero sauce. The sauce was stewed tomoatoes just broken down and really overly sweet served atop well cooked eggs and a very soggy corn tortilla. Had looked forward to this place for breakfast and was really disappointed w/ one choice and really happy w/ the other.

Discovered this place late in our trip so only had a chance to have breakfast. Have to agree with all the other reviews, the breakfast was outstanding. Fun place right on the beach with sand floors. Menu on a blackboard. Guys working there were really friendly. Huevos rancheros were as good as any I have ever had. No question, if you need a good breakfast this place will not disappoint. I would guess the food at dinner is just as good. We will get to that next visit.

When going for breakfast one morning we asked our hotel owner where we should go and he gave us a lift to Estel's. From that day on we were hooked! Fresh watermelon juice, breakfast burritos, french toast. And our favourite, the little fried potatoes. Mark, son of Estel & Charlie was lovely and all the other staff were very friendly. We even bought a cd off Mr.Holmes on our last day.

We stumbled upon Estel's on our first day on Ambergris Caye and stopped for a drink and dessert because we couldn't pass up the opportunity to sit in a restaurant that has a sand-covered floor, a super-talented musician playing guitar and singing laid-back beach tunes (covers and originals), and an unbeatable view of the beautiful Caribbean Sea. We had a great experience - the drinks were awesome, especially the fresh watermelon juice w/vodka, and the fry jacks were tasty. The servers were extremely friendly and welcoming and the service was acceptable even if it wasn't the speediest we'd experienced. We enjoyed it enough to return on our final day in Belize for breakfast and most definitely didn't regret it!! The food was again very good and we were pleasantly surprised to be able to enjoy live music once again. If you go to San Pedro, don't miss a meal at Estel's!! Make sure to check the hours though - they were closed around dinnertime on a Wednesday, so maybe breakfast is your best bet :)

Fantastic location on the beach. Sand floor. Great atmosphere. Order from the menu written on a chalk board. Breakfast burrito was average. Try the fry jacks which were delcicious with beans.
