Do not miss this quaint restaurant especially for lunch on Friday. Undoubtedly the best conch chowder and fritters on Isla Bonita. The name comes from the method of cooking on the outdoor stove. To totally understand the Mestizo/Kriol food culture, a visit to this restaurant is a must.

We went to El Fagon (3) times, based on a trip advisor recommendation. Each time we showed up either the place was closed for the day, or hadn't opened up for dinner yet. Since we were determined to eat there, we decided to go over to the Caprice Restaurant to have a drink and wait for El Fagon to open.

We are soooooo glad we waited! The service was awesome and the food was outstanding. We ordered the Fish Balls for an appetizer...yummy! And, decided to share the creole seafood dish for dinner. It was a really good meal with authentic spices and flavors. It's a must while you are in San Pedro!

Me and the wife ate here. Both had awesome grouper. I got the grouper kabob, she had the fish dinner. Nice 3 course dinner at a fair price. Dessert was cold key lime pie...also amazing. Dinner is slow, so make sure to order before you get too hungry - and bring the bug spray. The waiers and owner are very friendly also.

El Fogon is easy to miss - near the airport on a road that is closed for repair work. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the meal was outstanding. They have some unique food here too - just ask!
