“No credit cards?”
Reviewed June 16, 2013

Two couples ordered multiple drinks, and four meals, time to pay the bill, "we don't accept credit cards." Last night on the island, hard to find the cash and all. Let's post it some place. Fillet was like chicken, suspect parrot fish, substituted for snapper.

“Average food”
Reviewed June 16, 2013

Very disappointed after having this restaurant come highly recommended. We ordered mango snapper.....think we got 'parrot fish'. the fish texture was very firm, not flakey at all. This is a common practice on the island, they think folks don't know their fish, serving parrot fish. it has a much firmer texture almost like chicken. very easy to pick out if you are any sort of fish lover.

“Cool tarpons subpar food”
Reviewed June 9, 2013

We went for lunch and to feed the tarpons. The tarpons are huge and it was a neat experience to feed them however our meal didn't live up to expectations. The service was incredibly slow regardless of being the only customers in the restaurant. My husband got a burger made with 'local' beef which was probably the first mistake. The fish and chips were good and even better with Marie sharps mixed in with the tartar sauce. Check it out for the tarpons and lunch, not sure it is worth the dinner prices.

“Great food and casual quiet ambience: a lovely evening”
Reviewed May 31, 2013

The lagoon side of Ambergris Caye is often unappreciated, but please try Sunset Grill for a relaxed evening. The ocean side restaurants can feel loud and busy, with a lot of activity from souvenir mongers to tired tourists to working families. Sunset Grill offers good seafood, cool drinks, and tarpon feeding......all of this with a lovely view of the lagoon. Watch the evening come on in peace, with a Laguna Sunset in your hand! You'll enjoy the evening.

“One of the best on the island.”
Reviewed May 24, 2013

Located on the lagoon side you do get a great 'sunset' view. Get good directions if walking there after dark the streets can be tricky, a safe walk just twisty.
Enjoy a great meal and feed the tarpons too!
