“Great Bar, Great Food, Great Atmosphere”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 8, 2014

I cycled to this bar which is a little out of town, but it was a great place to have lunch overlooking the water. The staff are very friendly. The best part of the bar was the tubes you can relax on and have drinks lowered down to you from the bar above in buckets!

“Great view & vibe”

This palapa covered pier makes for a perfect island bar. The drinks were very good, the environment was great and the crossed eyed dog that hung out there was a sweetie. Great place to chill for a drink!

“Nice lunch spot”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 4, 2014

This is a nice spot to either grab a beer or have lunch. The nachos were not real good, but fish tacos were good and side dishes were all good. Not sure I would plan a dinner around Palapa, but its a pretty cool scene at lunch

“Cool place!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 4, 2014 via mobile

Really cool place on the water where you can enjoy the beautiful view of the sea! You can also sit in the inflatable tubes directly in the water to get your drink! It's a really nice and different place, not too pricey. I missed some decent vegetarian dish on the menu though. But well worth a visit for a drink or meal :)

“Just Another Redneck Bar”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 1, 2014

Recommended by other Americans we met while snorkeling. The inner tubes in the water and the buckets of beer lowered on ropes were cute. OK, it's not a fast food place but 45 minutes to get a burger & a quesadia? Food was expensive and not very good. Water costs more than beer and a plain limeade costs as much as a mixed drink. The place was full of loud, drunk Americans; lots of middle-age blubber-butts whose best days were as High School Jocks long ago. If that's you, this is your place in the sun.

If you are looking for fast food then you are in the wrong place and counrty. All our food is prepared to order and not sitting on a shelf under warming lamps, waiting for a customer and then thrown into a bag.

Our burger meat is fresh and the weight is HALF a pound. It is hand pattied and then slow cooked, all the way through in black cast iron skillet. You can not cook half a POUND of meat in 60 seconds.

When you placed your order the Quesadi;llas started out as DOUGH that had been prepared that morning and left to rise. When your order went in the dough was prepared by hand and then cooked to order. No fast food sittng around waiting to be served.

A beer is 3.00usd and a water is 1.50usd,, I pay 3.00 for a beer and 1.50 for water f not more in a bar located out over nothing in the states all day long.

Go into a local gas station and buy a bottle of water and then times that by 4 and it cost more than a gallon of gasoline.

Our limeaid is made of fresh, hand squeezed limes and not some mix from a box or a tube.

The cost of limes here right now for ONE that is smaller than a golf ball and dry as a desert is 1.00 to 1.50 each.

Takes several limes just to get enough real, natural juice for a glass of made fresh to order limeaid.

The patrons that you judge and refer to as Rednecks are allowed to travel anywhere and enjoy themselves anywhere on this planet just as yourself.
