Unique bar over the water. Great staff and interesting guests. Love to have a drink and soak in the sea!

Palapa Bar has a lot of potential to be a great place to hang out. But the location and unique design is the only thing we liked. The drink menu was way over priced and nothing special. Also, the food was not worth it, expensive and poor quality.

Please note! This is my second time submitting this review. Palapa flagged my previous review, because I recommended visiting a nearby competitor. It was in poor taste to flag a review due to negative criticism. Steer clear of Palapa Bar. There are much better options available.

We happened upon the Palapa bar Several years ago, it immediately became our favorite spot on Ambergris! We go every November, we land, drop our bags off and head to The Palapa Bar! Scott and Jodi are great hosts and Ivan runs a great bar! No matter where you stay, it's worth the trek! Don't forget to do the shot stick!

This bar is incredible. If you're looking for a relaxing lunch with some drinks and food, go here. The fish tacos were were pretty good, but the breeze, view, friendly service, view, drinks, the view....worth the trip.

Great location on the water. Had good food, reasonable price. My wife and daughter really enjoyed the "banango" rum drink. I enjoyed watching the fish from the open air restaraunt. If you are in San Pedro Town either get there by taxi or rent a golf cart.
