“Lovely, romantic setting”
Reviewed February 17, 2013

We really enjoyed our meal at Hidden Treasure. One of the staff (Oscar) was so helpful in arranging a car to come and pick us up at the hotel and to drop us off again. As this place is located a little ways out of town this was a great bonus. The ceviche was delicious.

A true hidden treasure! Romantic atmosphere with excellent food. Oscar was our waiter and he took really good care of us. It's worth the drive to eat there!

“So glad a friend recommended this restaurant”
Reviewed February 16, 2013

We'd heard that the food & atmosphere at Hidden Treasures was more like what you'd see back home in the US but couldn't quite see how that could be possible, once we checked out the location. It's located about 1/4 mile back a dirt road to the north about 2 miles south of downtown San Pedro... not far north of Victoria House. I'm so glad we had dinner there, though. I had the Garden Green Salad & Mojarra a La Lamanai (snapper cooked in a banana leaf), which was Wonderful! My husband had the grouper special & the same salad. We were both impressed by the flavors blended in those foods! Oscar was our waiter as well, & nobody could have been more attentive... without hovering.

Check the website link on this website.

Make a point to visit Hidden Treasures, but for Pete's sake, DON'T get silly & try to walk here (like my husband wanted to do)!

“Excellent food - Great service”
Reviewed February 16, 2013

We visited Hidden Treasure on Friday, February 8. It is located a few blocks off the main tourist road, but our hotel (Victoria House) arranged for the Restaurant to pick us up in a golf cart for the short drive to dinner. The restaurant is indeed a hidden treasure located in the middle of a Belizian neighbourhood. It is open on 2 1/2 sides and very tastefully finished and decorated. Our meals were excellent -- stuffed grouper and a shrimp special. Our server, Oscar, was great -- he was very attentive without being overbearing and at the end of the evening he even drove us back to our hotel. There was also live music that evening. Overall it was a great experience and the best meal we had in San Pedro.

“A HIDDEN GEM”
Reviewed February 16, 2013

All I can say is go.I had a stuffed grouper that I can still taste a week later.Make a reservation. They will pick you up at your resort and return you.Wonderful young driver Oscar who may also end up being your bus boy.Terrific staff and marvelous cuisine. When I return to Ambergris the Hidden Treasure will certainly be on my list of places to return to.Very romantic for couples.Unique structural design and dimly lit with candles. In a location you'd least expect.
