We found this place online after researching where to go given all hurricane affected areas. It was a quaint boutique style hotel with a friendly staff. Pros: spacious rooms, private setting, pool & beach area, easy use of hotel kayaks and paddleboards and onsite golf cart rentals for east use around the island. Cons: charge 12.5% service fee in addition to sales tax on every single thing you are charged. I wish I would have known that. I recommended they switch to a per diem rate as most guests were complaining about the same issue. Also, be prepared for spotty cell and slow internet service (but maybe that isn't a bad thing if you need to unplug a few days) and BYOBS (bring your own bug spray)!

Room tip: Top floor units have private plunge pool or jacuzzi, bottom units do not.

Upon our arrival we had the good fortune of meeting Sara and Leroy who made us feel at home.
Your resort is amazing from the food to the cocktails to the use of golf carts to the kayaks. My list could go on and on.

Room tip: Everything was perfect.

Like all resorts in ambergris caye, Las Terrazas is fairly small. This quaintness has a lot of pluses.

•Beautiful beach that is never crowded. Good spot for kids to play and splash. The sea grass puts a damper on the swimming. Also, easy and free access to kayaks, paddleboards, etc.
•Great staff with friendly, helpful people. Over the course of a few days, they get to know you and your eating habits and activity preferences. They make most activities (snorkel tours, parasailing, zip lining, jet skis) very simple. You can make all the arrangements through the front desk.
•Good, on-site restaurant (the O) with nice poolside seating. Also, another good restaurant 200 feet up the beach.
•Close proximity to the White Sands Dive Shop (two minute walk)
•Nice rooms w/ big refrigerator and washer/dryer.

The resort is a few miles north of town, which we liked. The golf cart travel is super easy. And the boat travel hopping from dock to dock for various activities is easy and fun.

Overall, Las Terrazas combines a beautiful setting with very nice staff.

This place is high end and won’t disappoint.

The food is great, the pool and pool side service are excellent, the beach clean and groomed every day, the activities have well maintained equipment, and there is an excellent dive shop adjacent where my 16 was safely PADI certified in 3 days.

All the facilities are great but the staff make the week. Leroy was a true gentleman and kept my 14 year old amazed and entertained for the week when ever my Son sought him out. Thanks Leroy.

Overall worth the cash.

We just ended a four night stay at Las Terrazas and it was great! We had a two bedroom villa with a kitchen, close to the pool and a short walk from the beach. We really enjoyed the laid back life on the resort. The property is well maintained, has great employees who go out of their way to make you feel welcome and take great care of you. The restaurant 'O' has great food- we had sushi one night, and pizza another night and both were great. The beach has hammocks, kayaks and there is a diving outfit next door which a number of guests use. We loved walking around the pier at dawn and at sunset. We saw crabs, fishes, sting rays and a variety of birds from the pier. The pool is well maintained and they serve drinks by the poolside. Outside the property the Coco Cabana is a nice restaurant a short walk away. We took the water taxi to San Pedro on the days we went to town (5 USD per person) and found it an easy way to get around- ensure you get the water taxi schedule s that you can plan your day trips. There were a number of guests who had also rented golf carts. My seven year old daughter really wanted a conch shell and Leroy the beach captain found a couple for her and cleaned them up. The team at the front desk provided us nice recommendations for restaurants at San Pedro (try El Fogon and Elvi's Kitchen for local Belizean cuisine). The housekeeping staff take great care of the rooms with service twice a day. On the whole an awesome trip!
